Fast pass with a magic band?

I was wondering can I go ahead and get my fast-passes 60 days out? We are staying at The Dolphin and I wasn't sure if they considered that a Disney resort even though it is on property? I have heard if you aren't on Disney property you have to wait till you are 30 days out. Anyone know when we should be able to book our fast passes?
