Fast Pass + strategy for a Senior traveler

My Mom (who is 70 something and using an ECV on the trip) and I in May, 2016 and have a Fastpass + strategy question. The questions are Should I schedule FP + for afternoon or right after RD? Does the priority for the Night time shows increase for those who have a Senior? Not sure she wants to wait an hour plus for Wishes or Illuminations. Have read the threads on FP + strategy, but not sure whether the time savings apply as much to Seniors.
