Fast Pass Question

Hi All,

I was under the impression that currently Fast Pass was not being used at WDW.
I just watched a Blog, and he said he had a Fast Pass.

I'm doing a Land and Sea, (hopefully the Sea part will work out with the new Bahamas rule). We are doing the Parks after Sept 6th, so my question is:

Are Fast Passes being used?
Can you get them in advance, or are they a Day only type of thing?

I did not see them , or a way to get one in the My Disney Experience App.

Fast passes have not been in place since WDW reopened last July. Within the past week, they announced the premiere of Disney Genie+ which will debut this fall. It is designed to replace fastpasses.

As above, the FP you’re familiar with are not being used. Sometimes when a ride goes down, guests in line are given a “Recovery FP” to use later or on a different ride. Other guests use the FP line for DAS pass, Club 33, VIP tours and other specific reasons.
