Fast Pass question when Planning with others

I've planned a trip with our friends. We all have tickets linked to our accounts. My husband and I have old 10 day non-expiring tickets with a few days available as well as 5 day tickets specifically for our trip at the end of October and our friends have the same 5 day tickets as we do.

We are linked for planning on MyDisney Experience and are staying together on-site.

I'd tried to go into the fast pass system today just to see what's available 30 days out....I know I get to book next week at 60 days out but when I went in to test it I could get fast passes for my husband and I but not my friends. It only gave me the option to link tickets for them. Do I need to call Disney or is it because their tickets were purchased for a future date so they would not be able to book fast passes until the 60 day window opens? I don't want to wait until the day I can start booking fast passes if there is a problem. I can see their linked tickets from my account. I initially couldn't and I had to call disney to update something on their end.

I've never dealt with tickets that were assigned specific dates so I thought that may be my problem and when my 60 day window opens I'll be fine but wanted to check others experiences.

It's the date based ticket thing. You're able to make FP for you and your husband because you have valid ticket media for the next 30 days- your old non-expiring tickets. Those 5 day tickets are only good starting on your arrival date, so not valid for FP in the next 30 days. Hence the message.

When you hit your 60 day mark, those tickets will then be valid and you'll be able to make FP for everyone.

There's no need to call Disney. Nothing is amiss.

Pretty sure it's because their time has not come yet so you cannot check. That's what comes up for me if I went to check fastpasses before my 60 days. I am almost positive you'll be ok when the window opens.
