Fast Pass Prep

I will be able to get my 60 day fast passes on Saturday. I have my laptop charged, my alarm set and my spreadsheet ready to go. Does anybody have any tips?

Generally this seems to be true, but it also depends on where your HS and AK days fall in your trip. SDD earlier than 60+3 is tought to get but slightly easier than FoP. FoP at 60+4 or later isn't too difficult to get.

I'll be the debbie downer here. Yesterday I was on at 7am to get our fast passes for a 7-day trip. I was completely shut out of Slinky Dog and Flight of Passage. I wanted Mine Train in the morning and the earliest available was 5:15pm. I know everyone says to take what's available and keep modifying, but I have serious doubts that I'll get anything for Slinky Dog or Flight of Passage.

Also have app on your phone ready and be signed in on both - sometimes website or app has issues, so you will have a back-up. PPs have given good advice on the order. Just an add on: remember to go for each of the bigger Tier 1 rides first like the three mentioned above, plus your Epcot choice, jumping around your week schedule. Then go back to make Tier 2s/secondary rides, starting with most popular, like Space/Big Thunder Mt, Safari/Everest, etc. rather than doing all 3 for a day at a time, if that makes sense. Grab what you can even if time isn't exactly right because they will disappear if you stop and play around - it moves fast and you can go back and try to modify after you get your main rides set. I write mine out in order so I know what day/park/ride I want to punch in next, to be as quick as possible. If you are going to DHS or AK later in trip, you have a better shot of getting SDD or FoP on those days(60+3, 60+4, etc) so be prepared to make second choice for now if going Day 1/2. Good luck!

Wow! You could not get SDD or FoP at all for 7 days? Are you going to those parks first during the week, or you could not get them for 60+4,5,6? As far as FoP, don't give up hope - guessing you booked Navi instead? Keep trying to modify, but especially night before and day of we have had luck with that one popping up - refresh, refresh, refresh! SDD I don't see pop up much, but some have gotten one. Both can also be done at RD or at end of night more easily, although both better at end of night jumping in line shortly before closing for shortest wait. SDD tends to be busier in the a.m. since many flock there at opening, unless you are there early to be at front of the pack. Same for FoP, since you need to be there a good hour before to be closer to front for that.

The touringplans website says that Flight of Passage Fast Passes are still available from December 5 and forward, and that Slinky Dog Dash Fast Passes are still available for December 7 and forward, so you might check those days out if you could do AK on Dec 5 or later and HS on Dec 7 or later.

Are you staying on-site and booking fastpasses at 60 days?

I have a 6-day stay first week of December and was able to get FOP, SDD, and Mine Train without a problem.

I have 3 Epcot fast passes on Dec. 7. Do I have to cancel all 3 of those in order to see if a Tier 1 at Animal Kingdom is available?

If you have another good friend/family member they can also log into your account from a different device and book one of your hard to get ones for you at 7 while you are trying for another one-

So I just did mine the other morning and got everything I wanted (FOP and Slinky). I have learned that to do FOP you need to visit AK later in your vacation, you will have a better chance to get a FP for that if it is later. Did FOP first, the earliest for my day was the afternoon but I took it. Then did Slinky, again got an afternoon time but took that as well. Don't book any other rides with those, do those two first then go back and fill in the rest. I also agree about having both the phone and computer ready to go. The time before this one I had major problems getting in via the computer so was able to move to my phone.
