Fast pass plus woes assisting other theme/amusement parks?

Is fast pass plus assisting other parks in achieving record attendance numbers? I was at busch gardens the other day and was informed by staff that they're having record attendance numbers. For what they offer I don't see why there is a increase in attendance.

IMHO, busch gardens sucks, in fact I can't stand going to any other theme park but disney theme parks and universal parks. This trip made me appreciate disney minus 75 min waits for haunted mansion.

No. BGT has added several new thrill-type attractions in recent years.

Maybe. I do like Busch Gardens though, I think it's a very nice park.

Are you referring to the FP "woes" that are causing Disney to achieve record attendance levels?

Disney has been having record crowds too so I doubt it has anything to do with FP+. Maybe people are feeling a little better economically so they are out spending more money. Or the long cold winter in the Midwest and East has more people out trying to enjoy themselves.

It has made Disney lose our $400.00 a month we were spending there. Now it is going to Seaworld and Universal.

I don't think FP+ has anything to do with it. We go to other parks regardless of when we go to WDW. In fact, I have season passes to Kings Island and am going to Cedar Point this summer. FP+ is just a perk that the other parks don't have (front of the line passes are not the same thing sicne you need to pay extra for it, which we don't).

I think the awful winter we had up north was probably a boon for all of Florida.

Like everyone else, I don't think it's because of the FP+. If anything it's because of the slow recovery and people getting used to the new normal.

I suspect their attendance would have gone up anyway regardless of your impression, it seems to be a general trend for the industry.

I've been meaning to make my way to some alternative vacation destinations for a while now, and my reaction to the tumultuous implementation of NextGen has been that there may be no time better than now to do it (or my next vacation opportunity). I know some people would never consider another central Florida vacation, but I've never felt that way, and I enjoyed trips to Busch Gardens and Sea World many years ago (the last time I was there the new attraction was Baby Shamu). I would be surprised if the effect is statistically significant, but there are other people here reporting the same thoughts. Everybody who goes to a Busch Gardens, Sea World, Cedar Point, Six Flags, or whatever doesn't have this fierce, Apple-like loyalty to Disney that we see here, some people enjoy those places for what they are.
