Fast Pass Plus for groups

How will this work for groups? My son is going with 150 classmates from March 12-15. They are staying at Pop Century. They have been told they are not able to pre-book any fast passes since they don't have individual booking numbers. Does this sound right?

No, it doesn't.

Normally, all guests in a group could have MDE accounts and each of them linked
together on one "controlling" MDE account for making advance FP+.

HOWEVER, a group reservation can include any kind of "arrangement,"
so there's no way to know what the group leader(s) and Disney decided.

Someone posted about a school trip a couple of weeks back asking this. She will willing to make MDE accounts for each of the kids to book FP+ for everyone, and was told that she couldn't book FP+ ahead of time. The kids were supposed to have MDE accounts, and make FP+ in the parks.
