Ok maybe this has been addressed before but... I just think it would be so great if ALL the fast pass machines for all the rides was in a central location (near the castle, hat, and tree). That way you could get a fast pass for a ride on the other side of the park, instead of having to walk all the way over there and not be able to ride it.
For instance, Splash Mt. you could get fast pass for it and then ride some rides in fantasy land while you are waiting for your time to come up. That would just be SO much easier, then walking way over to the ride, just to turn around to have to find something else to do while you wait for your time to come up.

This has been on my mind, and just thought I would share.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I think it would be nice if they did it both ways. ::yes::

I think you're missing the point of FP (from Disney's point of view). They are not trying to make it possible for you to ride more rides in a shorter time period. They simply don't want you to wait IN LINE between rides. They would rather give you the freedom to roam about the shops and eateries while you wait (and hopefully spend some cash).

I get it from their stand point, I dont think moving the machines would change any of that, I could still spend money, just wouldnt have to hike back and forth across the park in the mean time.;)

think about it for a second.....this setup would create massively huge lines at this central location. Everyone entering the park would go here first.....It's like having everyone in the park all lining up for one ride....

I think that one of these days, resort guest will be able to get fastpasses through some sort of interactive TV/Internet type thing for all the rides they wish to ride before they even leave thier resort room to go to the park. One of these days....

That is a good point snoopy5386.

Ok so, they have a fast pass for buzz in front of buzz AND a machine for splash on the other side of the park! LOL!!! That way you could get off buzz, get a fast pass for the other side of the park and leisurely stroll over there for your ride time!!

Just thinking out loud!

There are many other reasons this is not done, lots of them have to do with the way FastPass is staffed and the way the attractions business units are divided within each park. Possible? Yes. Practical? No.

Don't hold your breath.

I wont hold my breath...but a girl can dream! :D

Universal Studios has "express-pass" machines set up at different places through out the park. You can get an express-pass (or whatever they call it) for any ride that offers the pass at each stand. For example, you could get a pass for Shrek2 or Men in Black at the same stand. However, I (being used to Disney's system) always thought their stands were odd since they weren't necessarily near the attraction you were going to ride. I thought it odd because sometimes you don't need an express-pass, or a fast-pass at WDW. If the machine is there at the attraction, then you can see how long the line actually is and if you really need a pass or not. Just another way of looking at things. :o ;)

Personally I LOVE Universal's system of allowing resort guest to go to the front of the line with their room key! Now if only WDW could come up with that kind of system!;) I know, too many resorts, not feasible. :( But yes, a woman can dream. ;)

Yes we bought the tickets at universal that had one "fast pass" for each ride last year...it was HEAVEN!!
I didnt know they had machines set up around the park for other rides though I missed that...guess somebody else thought of that idea first  !! LOL!!!
