Fast pass ? if you don't have magic bands

I have a question about the new Fast Pass service. I have selected my FP choices online for the night I have purchased Mickey Christmas party tickets and for one additional day (i bought tickets through wdw website so I could book a few fast passes.) How do I get the fast passes once I am at the park? Can the FP show up on the smartphone app? I am not staying at a Disney resort so I won't have magic bands. Are they paper like before? And once you use one, can I choose others by using the smartphone app? I have not been to Disney World since the new system has started. Thank you for any info

You use your tickets to access your FPs, and they're plastic, not paper. You can't book additional FPs until you've used your first three or the times have expired, and you have to go to a kiosk in the park in order to book them. I would highly suggest reading the first post of this thread:

Since your tickets are linked in MDE, you will scan the ticket at each attraction to use your FP+....it works the same as a magic band. You should be able to see and edit your FP+ on the MDE app as long as you are logged in. You cannot make a 4th FP on the app though, it has to be done at a kiosk. You CAN, however, change that 4th FP on the app after you have it...sometimes it may give you a way later time and you can go into the app and change it to an earlier time.
