I know this is a popular topic but I just wanted to get some help on what to do and how it works for getting fast passes for non Disney property guest. I am a DVC member but unfortunately used all my points for a trip later in the year so I used my starwood points and I am staying at the Swan. I'm still on Disney property but they don't participate in Fast Pass+. I will be going in April Spring break with the rest of the Northeast vacationers so I know it will be busy. How and what is the best way to make sure I get the rides I want at a reasonable time? I know their are kiosk at the park that I have to go to, does it make a difference if I get there as soon as the park opens? I wish they would still let non guest use their phone, it's just another line to wait for. If anyone has hard any experience with this please share...

1) Look for CMs walking around with clipboards talking to guests. Right now they are testing offsite guests making their FP+ plans for their entire vacation. If this is still going on, then it would be worth the stop to chat because then you would only have to plan once for your entire stay.

2) You never know when prebooking will be allowed to offsite guests. From the testing, it may be coming soon. Hopefully before Spring Break. Keep tabs on this topic so if it becomes available to you, you can do it before your trip.

3) In some parks there is a booth specifically for Swan and Dolphin guests. Do a search on the forums so find more details. This could save you time.

4) Refer to easywdw for his discussion of the best places to pick up you FP+ reservations in the parks. Many places have short lines, so REFUSE to stand in a long line to make your FP+ reservations. Find an out of the way FP+ station after you have ridden a few rides if you are rope dropping it. Everyone else will be in the FP+ line ;)

Hopefully I can post this link. If you scroll way down, he has a section on FP+ kiosks from least busy to most busy.

Yes. Makes a huge difference. Definitely get there as soon as the park opens, either (1) to go straight to a popular ride (which will be essentially a walk-on) or (2) to make FP+ reservations. In some cases, it's probably best to do (1) before (2).

And also, PP has given excellent advice.

Thanks for all the info I guess getting there first thing is a must and finding a hidden kiosks

In DHS, Sid Cahuenga's, right inside the park entrance on the left, is the designated Swan/Dolphin Fp+ service center... at least first thing in the morning.
