Fast Pass for someone "not" at the Park?

If the gang wants to sleep in, can dad take all the tickets to a park and get Fast Passes for when the family arrives? I realize dad would have to meet them at the gate so that they would have their tickets for entry. My fear is that since the tickets had been run through a Fast Pass terminal, their might be a problem at the gate with someone thinking the ticket had already been used for entry by someone else, since it is obvious it was in the park to get the Fast Pass. IE are the Fast Pass terminals linked with the entry gates?
If anyone knows... thanks in advance!

Only tickets that have been used for entry at that park that day are going work in the Fast Pass machines.

So, no, you won't be able to get Fast Passes for someone who isn't already in the park.

Just tell those lazybones - "You snooze, you lose!" when they complain about the long ride waits because they didn't get to the parks early

what about already activated APs? If someone walks thru IG w/us then goes back to their room, whats to stop someone from taking that persons AP and getting a fastpass for them?

If that person had already inserted their AP in the scanner and used it for entry then you could get a fast pass.

If they hadn't had a day taken off their tickets then you couldn't use it for gaining fast passes.

If you have a Fastpass that has already been activated at the gate, you may obtain a Fastpass for that ticket. To answser your question: As long as that person entered the park and activated their ticket, you may obtain a Fastpass for that ticket even though they left the park afterwards. The machines make no distinction between a guest who is still in the park and one who isn't as long as that guest activated their ticket that day at the turnstile.

Just make sure that persons gets a handstamp before they leave the park and that you are available at the turnstiles to get them back in with their own ticket should they wish to return.

I have had guests tell me they would go down and activate passes for family/friends not yet at the park just so they could get a Fastpass for them all at the same time. Have to tell them if they did that it would cost the family/friends a day's pass because when they did come in later it would be a second day activated on their pass.

Hope the above information helps. Best wishes.

Each person has to come down to the park and go in. Yes one person can take everyone's tickets and repeatedly re-enter the turnstiles with each different pass, but then the others in the family won't be able to get in because they don't have hand stamps to go with their passes when everyone rendezvous' outside the turnstiles later in the day.

Doesn't work and doesn't work that way. You may not consume another park day off of your pass on the same day as an alternative to purchasing the Hopping Option. Also you need the hand stamp to enter using a ticket that has already been used that day.

This won't work with the new biometric scans. The person the ticket belongs to would have to enter the gate using the ticket. One person could not re-enter the turnstile with everyones ticket.

As for the handstamps. Most of the exit CMs were not giving hand stamps to anyone who used a biometric scan ticket. They said hand stamps were not necessary with this type of ticket because only one person could use it. I say most, because the CM at the Rainforest Cafe entrance/exit was still "insisting" that everyone have a hand stamp, an inside the right wrist stamp actually, they didn't put it on your hand.

If you have the old tickets.....You could do it but it would take some work....Enter on a ticket put in other pocket...exit use next ticket...and so on...would be a lot of work and it assumes you have the old ticket....I wouldnt go in the same line either

No that wouldnt work either would it....No I guess not....The late arrivals would need hand stamps....Just tell them to get there lazy butts up and go....

Except when the original holder went to enter and didn't have a hand stamp you wouldn't be able to enter without using another day.

The passholder could enter the park, leave, and take a nap. But the passholder does need to be the person to enter the park with their tickets.

There are so many problems that could happen otherwise

They weren't stamping hands last week. They said you no longer need a handstamp.

I have been told they are doing away with hand stamps. Some CMs don't, some do.

We were once entering a park when the pass readers were down.
Becuase no passes were read, no FPs could be distributed. CMs were handing out FPs to guests.
Then the entry computer system went back up. We still could not get FPs on our own. The system did not acknowledge we entered the park, so would not issue FPs for us.

Last year we had trouble with DD's ticket. We think the CM at the turnstyle kept putting it in the wrong way but she wasn't very pleasant about it. Anyway, she just told us to go through. When we went to get fastpasses, the machine wouldn't give us one for my DD's ticket as it showed she never entered the park. Had to go to guest relations and spend a while there before we got it straightened out.

Before the advent of biometric passes, my DS (3) and I went in to the parks while the rest of the group went to DTD.

We rode the speedway about 12 times before leaving the park and flying home. I hate that ride, but what could I do, my DS loves it.

This was at Land though, not world.

Guess I won't be doing that any more. :rolleyes2

That's probably a good thing.

We were there 4/18-4/29 and they didn't do handstamps at any parks while we were there (when we were leaving them anyway). A few times, CMs were even announcing "Handstamps are no longer necessary" as people exited the parks. Still, you couldn't get FPs for people not in the parks since the tickets would create "Not a valid fastpass". I suppose you could ask a CM at the FP booth and say the rest of your family is on a ride and you're getting FPs, show them the one ticket works but not the rest and maybe they'd give you some, but then again they might say go to guest services. I guess you could also just do that, go straight there, say your tickets aren't working for FPs, and if they asked where the rest of the gang is say they're on a ride, but again, may not work.
