We have 3 adults and one child who is 6 y.o. If you get a FP with the child's ticket, can only the child use it or can another adult?

Only 2 of the adults will go on several bigger rides, like Space Mountain. We want to maximize our FP usage so if one adult and the child will not be going, can we still use their tickets to get another FP? Can an adult use a FP that came from a childs ticket? I didn't know if they looked any different or if that wasn't allowed.

Fastpasses are all the same, and yes you can do what you describe. We did it all the time when my kids were too young for the wilder rides. Dh and I would each go twice, one at a time. Not the fastest way to ride, but when your kid won't go, it's the only way.

Yes, that's one of the perks you get when you have people in your party who won't ride certain rides. We have three on most of our trips, and only DD12 likes Mission Space. So we'll get three FastPasses and DD17 and I will shop or eat while DD12 rides MS three times in a row (why she's not completely scrambled by then I don't know!!)

FPs aren't tied to a particular ticket - you just get one per ticket, and you'll have to wait 2 hours or 5 minutes past the start time in order to get one for another ride, as I'm sure you know! Have a fun trip!!

If we don't have time to use our fast passes, we will give ours to strangers. A lot of people will do this, so if when you're there someone offers you their FPs take advantage of that. It frees up your tickets to get other FPs. We figure somebody should benefit from them. So, yes, anyone can use the fastpasses. :thumbsup2

Just wondering...How does that free up your ticket to get other fasspasses?

Great! That's cool then. My mother is going with us and she doesn't like big rides so she said she'd wait with my kids so DH & I can go twice in a row together! Yeah! And, as a plus, I convinced my DD (6) to go on the Pooh ride because her brother (2) would think that's cool. DD is so anti-Pooh so this is a big victory!!

Because the fast pass you were given is linked to someone elses park pass, meaning you can use your park pass to get a different FP.
