fast pass for buying DVC?

When we went in March we did the tour and bought in, it took about 3 hrs. I remember the guys saying we would get 3 fasspasses per person in our family (4) per park when we return for our next trip in July. Well, when we got home and read on the disboards that resale was a great way to go we canceled by the 10th day (the rep. was pretty mean on the phone ... he gave me some incorrect information and called me a vulture for praying off the misfortunes of others on the resale market.)
Our resale is now complete and we are still going in July (BCV/BWV for 10 nights.) Do we have to see our rep to get the fasspasses and are we still "entitled" to them ???

Since you went resale, you probably will not receive the fastpasses as those were an incentive for buying direct.

It's interesting that your salesperson didn't give you the Fastpasses right then and there. We took the tour, didn't buy and received the Fastpasses anyway. Given your salesperson's disposition, I would give it a 50/50 shot. Doesn't hurt to ask though. Good luck!

it was early march and we did not need fasspasses because the crowds were so low so we asked if we could just get them for our july trip and the rep said yes ... i guess we should have taken them and ran LOL !!!! we saved over 50% buying resale so we should be happy with that !!!!!

We were on the Fantasy the week of May 19; we purchased at AKL and BWV; we were given 18 Fast Passes (they told us to pick them up on our next trip to WDW). The fast passes were announced during the presentation and given to the first so many members that made a purchase.

You were able to purchase BWV direct on the cruise? Ay incentives besides the fast pass?

Sharon; at first we were going to buy 200 at AKL. Then we thought "why not buy 100 at AKL and 100 at BWV so we can get a room for F&W". When we met with the salesperson we told him of our idea and he pointed out the negatives to buy BWV as well as the positives.

Some negatives were we would not get the extra 20 points free they were giving away if you bought AKL - so we ended up buying 120 for BWV. He was kind enough to go to another room look in the system and found us 120 points at BWV with our Use Year.

We got the 20 points with our AKL purchase, the 18 fast passes and shipboard credit (I think it was about $200).

Thanks for the answer, Sue. Sounds like a good way for you to go, with splitting your resorts.
