Do they use fastpass during Epcot extra magic hour at night and if so do they switch the machines so that people that have to leave at regular park close time are not able to get a FP for a time that they won't be there. Does this make any sense? I think I have just confused myself:confused3

I've done evening EMH and you know what? I can't answer your question!!! I don't think we used FP during EMH, but I could be wrong. I'm interested in the answer too!!

The fast pass machines weren't open at Epcot last week for evening EMH.

I have seen a FASTPASS attraction such as Test Track, etc. use their FASTPASS machines during EEMH,but I think it is the exception rather than the rule.If an attraction doe use their FASTPASS machines they will be "re-started" at the beginning of EEMH.It is wild to see a FASTPASS return time of 11:49 PM!:)

Whether any given attraction will have FP during a PM EMH totally depends on those who manage the rides for that PM EMH.

It can change with each PM EMH or during the EMH, with no advance notice, so it does no real good, for the purposes of prediction, to say if they DID or DID NOT on any previous PM EMH.

IF the FP machines are operating during PM EMH, they "start again" at the beginning of the EMH.

If you had a "left-over" FP from earlier in that same day, and they where operating the FP queue, the CMs would likely honor it.

...do they switch the machines so that people that have to leave at regular park close time are not able to get a FP for a time that they won't be there.

Regardless of whether FP machines are on or not, no EMH wristband = no ride IIRC.

The daytime FP's will stop being issued when the time is reached when their return time would be too late to ride during regular hours.

None would be issued during regular hours that had a return time during PM EMH.

That is correct.Technically an off-site Guest who was still in the Park during EEMH might be able to obtain an EEMH FASTPASS using their ticket media, but it would do them no good as they would be refused admittance to the attraction because of their lack of an EEMH wristband.:)

What IRKED me last year was that we were in line to get our wristbands for EMH and there was this family in front of us. The mother was THROWING A FIT because she said that her DH had her room keys and that they were INDEED staying on property. The CM, after listening to her rant, gave her--and the 5 kids with her--the wristbands. She then walked to her husband, who was standing just a few feet BEHIND the CM and said--"wow, easier than I thought." Now, DH didn't get one, but 6 other people did!!!

I have no way of knowing whether or not she was truly an on-property guest--but neither did the CM.
