Fast Pass Clarification

Alright, I am sure this was answered before, but I did look around and could not find the answer. I had heard that Disney cracked down on the use of Fast Passes, such that you can no longer "bank" them all day and use them in the evening beyond the time to return on the FP. Is this correct? I just read through Hydro Guy's tips again, but that info seems out of date. We are going 11/9 and 10, so hopefully the crowds are light (though it looks to be unusually warm!)

The Fast Pass window is one hour only. You have about a 5-10 minute grace period, but that is entirely based on the CM working the line and I wouldn't count on it.

You are correct. They only allow you to come back within the time period.

I forgot that they used to allow after the time. That seems like such a long time ago!

That's correct. You can only use the FP during the 1-hour window on the FP. The only exception to this is if the ride broke down & was closed during your FP window...then you can use it at any time after that once the ride is back online.

Try to make it exactly within that hour because some cast members are very strict about it. But do note, if the ride is broken down during your one hour window to redeem your pass, at any point after that, during that day, you can return with your fastpass and use it.

Does the ride have to be down during the whole one hour window? Or just be down (for any amount of time) during that one hour?

Done within the window, the CM's assigned to check FP's are given specific times the ride went down (aka 101), and so long as that time was in the window, it is allowed to be used later in the same day.

Thats correct no more banking of FP's like the good old days......they have to be used during the window on the ticket or they won't be honoured.

I would exoect those days to be quite busy as they preceed a holiday weekend and doesn't the holiday time begin on the 10th? Good luck and have fun!

Add to it it is the Avenger's Half Marathon. (Yes, I know they renamed it "Super Hero", but it is still Avenger's to me.)

We are going to be in the parks that Wed and Thursday, then leaving super early Friday morning for Universal. We are hoping at least Wed is not as crowded as it will be later in the week with the marathon on deck.
