Fast Pass - change reservation

I have a complicated fast pass/reservation question. Hopefully this makes sense and i explain it correctly....I currently have a room only reservation for a Friday to the following Saturday. We have linked our tickets so we should be able to book FP at 60 +7 (or whatever ever that works out to be).

Here is the deal, we would be flying in late Friday night, no park for us that day so our first FP day would be Saturday. There is a chance, we might change our reservation to saturday to saturday, save some $ staying off site the first night. We probably wont know what we are doing until after the 60 day window and we have made our FP's. So with my current reservation, i can book the FP's 60 days from that Friday, but then if we change it to that Saturday obviously that is a day later. So i guess in a confussing way i'm asking if we book our FP with our current reservation for a Friday check in and then change our check in date to Saturday AFTER we make our FP's will that mess everything up? make sense?

i'm not trying to gain the system because its only one day - i'm tempted just to wait until the Saturday 60 day window "just in case" i would hate to lose all the FP's!!!!

If you're within the 30 day window when you make the change, you'll be fine. Maybe not if you haven't hit the 30 day mark.

Booking when your FP window opens doesn't matter even if you already know your plans are changing.

Because it would be considered the same as a Throwaway Room, keep your onsite reservation until you are 30 days out from check-in and then cancel.

If you cancel between 60 - 31 days in advance, you'll lose your FPs. A warning will pop up about FP deletion if you attempt to cancel more than 30 days before your reservation date.
