I was watching it until just a few minutes ago. So so sad. That poor woman went through hell. She was cured, she was sick, cured, sick. She truly suffered, and so did her family. I know God welcomed her with open arms when she passed.

My Mom went through a similiar battle with breast cancer (and died in 2005). I watched this the first time it was on, it gave me a new appreciation of all she went through. It made me realize how brave she really was. Movies tend to "romanticize" the battle (Love Story, Brian's Song) but this documentary showed the hard reality, the ups and downs.

I lost a loved one to cancer too. I guess I hadn't realized it doesn't matter which cancer it is. They are very much the same in the pain they cause & how much time the person & the family spend at the hospital.

I remember a couple weeks ago whe the new laws against the tabacco industry were announced, someone online here was saying how adults should have the right to choose to smoke if they want. I thought, "You idiot, haven't a friggin clue what lung cancer does to someone and their family, or you wouldn't be saying that." If she says it again, I will refer her to this story. It's a slow, painful death. Ryan suffered as much as Farrah did.
