Since this thread started and have become neighbors with Disers I only hire my neighbors. If I have crops to harvest I will do the neighbor visits for points and if someone if at their farm I will ask them if they are interested in harvesting for me or leave a note for someone that has hired me in the past if are online and want to harvest for me to send me a chat.

I can't stand going to the Marketplace because of all the beggers. I try to get in there and out when I am selling what has been harvested. I have had people follow me back to my farm even though I've only been there for less than a minute.

You can boot someone off your farm by hitting refresh. Done it many times lol

Why would you trade crops with someone?

I have a hard time getting jobs. I don't beg. I will do a trade/hire. Hire me and I'll hire you, but then I hire them and they don't hire me.

Maybe I can find some friends/neighbors here.

what an excellent tip! i've been pretty lucky so far but know there are bad apples out there.

i also have a fast trigger on the ignore feature when i'm at the marketplace. helps keep me sane when i need to earn a few bucks.

i don't offer a trade - if I have time, I'll take a job and if it's a good job, the person is nice, hasn't hired a bunch of people all at once, then I offer them my harvest. If I'm in a hurry, then I pop into a market, say hello, and sit back for a minute. I offer jobs to people who say hello back to me, and who aren't begging for work.

Another question; why are people so picky about their trees?

it's an aesthetic thing - some people like the pop of color they provide. Or they are trying to get all trees of the same kind on the same schedule to harvest all at once. The fruit on trees doesn't spoil or go bad, so there is no urgency to harvest the crop.

I had about 45 animals I had to sell some of them! I think I had 20 turkeys!

I finally got pumpkins!

Is Farmtown SLOW for anyone else tonite? I keep getting the dreaded black box with "connecting to mainframe" or "joining room" messages that stay up for a good 20 minutes or so before I am totally in my farm or a neighbor's farm.

So frustrating!

I was shocked when I was in the marketplace the other day. I was there for like 60 seconds and someone named zach sent me 2 messages begging me for work. Some of those people just don't get it.

I just logged in a few minutes ago to see if my crops are ready and didn't have a problem. Hopefully whatever was causing the delay is now fixed.

Anyway, I'm thinking of having a Farmtown Diser harvest party at my farm next Friday night. If anyone is interested let me know. What is a good time for everyone? I see a lot of people on late at night. So, I was thinking around 11pm(EDT). What do you guys think? Hopefully, I'll have received the largest farm by then. So, I should have plenty of crops for everybody to harvest.

I'm a newly addicted member of Farm Town. I'm not a very successful farmer, but after 24 hours I'm on level 4 and keep eyeing the possibility of moving upwards.

Farmtown questino for you guys--I checked the box that says "removed spaces between fields." will that just be if i delete the fields and start over or should that adjust my fields now?

Only if you delete the others first. Oh how I wish it just auto deleted the spaces!
