I've read that this is a favorite show for some cruisers-- It seems that children get a graduation cap & tee shirt-- is that why so many people like it-- becuase their children participate? We are two adults- should we skip this one?

Actually the kids graduation thing is "Celebrate the Journey" and it is on Thursday afternoons on the 7 night cruises. The Farewell show is the show shown in the theater on Friday night.

I am one of the ones that love the Farewell Variety show and the Welcome aboard show the very best!!!
In the farewell show, they have a few of the acts that have performed throughout the cruise do another family act. On our last cruise (November/December), it was Rich Purpura and Taylor Mason from the last half of our cruise.
Taylor Mason especially had me laughing so hard, I almost fell out of my chair. My kids loved it too. It also was a little sentimental...showed a little slideshow to Remember the Magic....kind of sentimental, makes you sad you are leaving. But I still loved it!

DH and I have no kids. We've always skipped the kids' Oceaneer's graduation show. I don't believe it's the actual Farewell Show, I wouldn't suggest missing that one, but if you don't have a kid in the program, I don't see why you'd need to go. We haven't and have never been told "Ohmigosh! You really should've seen it!"

the kids club has a show for the kids on thursday or something. Then on the last night they have a Farewell show that isn't for the kids club and it is shown the regular time as the rest of the shows on the ship I was laughing so hard at that last show.

I would skip "Celebrate the Journey" if you don't have kids in it. It's cute but definetly skippable w/out kids. On the other hand, I love the farewell variety show -- very, very entertaining! :) Hope you have a Great trip!!

OH man- I'm getting nervous- last week I was thinking that I only had three MUST see shows to go to... now there are 5!!! AAHH! We're going to need a vacation after this vacation!!

Don't stress about it. The only MUST SEE shows are the ones you decide are a must see. Just make the ones you are most interested in a priority and let the rest fall where it may. If the night of the Farewell show you want to go then go. If something else sounds like more fun then do it. Just show up and have a good time....the rest will follow. :)

I like the variety shows - the comics and jugglers they book. We skipped the Disney themed ones - a lot of people think they are musts, we don't.

Welcome aboard - Disney Magic Performers and two acts. The two acts (such as comedians, magicians, jugglers) will perform other shows during the first 1/2 of the cruise.

Variety show - one of the acts from the Welcome Aboard show doing an extended show

Farewell show - Disney Magic Performers and two acts (these acts will perform other shows during the last 1/2 of the cruise).

The Welcome Aboard show has a storyline of a family just getting on the ship where as the Farewell show has the same family now remembering the Magic.

ALL shows in the Walt Disney Theatre are MUST sees.

Don't miss it!!

It was absolutely good:thumbsup2

See all the photos on the screen which the kids were in the Club. I managed to video it and looking for my son then he was giving the stroll paper to Mickey Mouse and Minnie!!

That make me Smile!!
