Hi Everyone,
Well, we fly out of Seattle tomorrow night to began our vacation. We will be on the 2/10 Wonder and then spend an extra week in Orlando.
I couldn't leave without thanking everyone for all the tips and info I have gotten off these boards the last year. When I started, I knew absolutely NOTHING about booking or going on a cruise. The wealth of information here has been great! Special thanks to Dave for his input and his website! I found his site to be unbelievable! Anything I needed to know, right down to car rentals. Also, special thanks to Barb (Castaway Club) for all her posts and trip reports and her site. I spent a lot of time on those sites when the Dis boards were down.
A couple of things I have figured out....
Trip Insurance- If you're on the fence- BUY IT! I always intended to but just never did and this last week we have all been very sick. We are on the mend now and it looks like all will be well, but I was really kicking myself on not getting that insurance. It would have given me a lot more piece of mind.
Being Prepared- I know a lot of people are just naturally organized. I am not one of them. I have worked really hard in preparing for anything but I've noticed that I am just riddled with anxiety. Second guessing, unpacking, repacking, writing lists, losing lists, finding lists, losing them again. I was hoping to be very excited today but instead have felt completely overwhelmed!! I'm not sure what I'm worried about and really had to grab a hold of myself and remember that this is a vacation.... suppose to be fun....
The moral is, that no matter how prepared you are, you'll still be sure you are forgetting something!
I'll do a trip report when I get back in hopes I can give back some info to make up for all I've taken!!
So I'll say goodbye and keep repeating my mantra-
As long as I have our Documents and a Drivers license and a Visa.. the rest will take care of itself... the rest will take care of itself!! hummmmm ;~)
Thanks again,
Jenn
