Farewell Hiro and Baymax...

My kids would have loved to meet Hiro and Baymax and I wish Disney would have kept them in the parks longer. I am also surprised considering how popular and successful this film was.

Kenny initially reported Hiro and Baymax would continue to meet even when other sources confirmed their meet would end on July 12th.

I hope people don't plan on DHS visits in the hopes that Hiro and Baymax will again be meeting there in the future. It had been reported months ago that Epcot would be an ideal place for a technology attraction featuring Big Hero 6 in some way. As Kenny reported yesterday, nothing has been confirmed.

I hope that's true. I would LOVE to see them in Epcot. Between Big Hero 6 and Inside Out, there's tons of fresh material for fun, educational-ish attractions.

Gutted they're gone. They hadn't arrived yet when we were there last August, and we're not back until August next year. Sob!

You could revive the Wonders of Life pavilion just based on the "feelings" from Inside Out & Baymax's primary "medical" programming.

Good thing I never told my son about meeting Baymax. He would have been crushed if he didn't see him! Big Hero 6 is his favorite movie after Frozen. At least we'll be there the last day of all the Frozen festivities!

I made the mistake of telling DD5 that she could meet Baymax. Hoping she forgets about it by December...

I've never seen Big Hero 6 and have no interest in these characters, but seeing those pics in the OP even made me a little misty.

Maybe I've not paid attention, but I've never seen another send-off for characters like this one, especially where other characters turn up to say good-bye. It seems really final to me, like the friends of Sofia, Jake, and Doc know that their buddies won't be around anymore.

This really frustrating. They take an incredibly enjoyable movie and two, or more, fantastic characters and do almost nothing with it. Then pull the characters from the parks in under a year. My son, and daughter, would have loved to meet them next month, and they generally don't get very excited over character meets. Really don't understand why Disney pushes so hard on some movies\characters, Frozen, ahem, Frozen, and leaves others so quickly.

Shame .. Disney created a pretty cool "boy" character finally and his M&G lasts about 6-7 months at the parks? Yet Anna/Elsa take over the entire park during the summer with a short, a sing-along .. a parade ..a stage show and a fireworks?

My son would have loved that M&G for our trip on his birthday ... I am quite disappointed they can't find a spot to move it. How hard is it to move a M&G? Couldn't they have put M&Gs in the old Jack Sparrow area instead of a rest area?

So now with that building gone what Meet & Greets are there at DHS?

that rest area is only there while FSF is on, so until September. I'm sure (hopeful really) that the announcement at D23 will shed light on what exactly they are doing.
I think that Baymax and Hiro will fit in nicely at Epcot
All the rest of meet and greets are still there, Mickey is across from Studio Catering Co. and Minnie meets with the rest by Center Stage.

I did the exact same. Oh boy. Thankfully he is equally obsessed with Monsters Inc. so maybe if I push the excitement of meeting Mike and Sully he might forget about Baymax.
