Does anyone know what is center aft on the Wonder/Magic particularly on decks 5-7? I was looking at deck plans and from the outside it looks like there are verandahs but no cabins correspond to that location. Are they crew (officer?) quarters, mechanical or something else? The Dream and Fantasy have staterooms at the very aft end of the ship (with the exception of a "missing" stateroom on deck 5). I would be curious if anyone had any insight.

I believe mechanical? There used to be a "secret" public sundeck on deck 7. Hopefully someone else replies as I can't recall the details. There was some type of mechanical upgrade that took up that space during one of the refurbs yrs ago.

When the classic ships got their ducktails, there also had to be some mechanical alterations and part of that included the loss of the deck 7 aft overlook public deck. So, there are no crew accommodations in that area.

Interesting. I did not realize that there used to be a publicly accessible deck there. I wonder what the mechanical needs are dead aft and how they differ on the Dream class. I would also be curious to learn about the "missing" stateroom on deck 5 of the dream or fantasy (would be 5690 if it existed).

I believe deck 5 & 6 Aft are stairwells to Deck 4 Muster Station ( Animator's Dinning Room ). That is one of the many reasons I book deck 5 or 6 Aft is the air condition dinning room muster is much more comfortable then standing on deck 4 in the sun. I bet Covid will change muster drill.

The ”secret” outdoor deck on Deck 7 was amazing on our Alaska cruise. We had the whole thing to ourselves on the glacier day and enjoyed the best views.

The whole back of the ships (Wonder/Magic) are stairwells all the way from deck 8 to deck 5...then there are some stairs that go down in to Animators as mentioned. The ones that go to deck 4 cannot be used unless for muster or emergency. We have stayed in the back a bunch on the Wonder and Magic and I love the stairs for getting up and down between floors...no traffic and no one uses them.
There are 2 Rooms off the 5th floor back there that have there entry doors that seem like you have the whole back of the boat to yourself.
