I am so excited I am getting the free dining. We had decided to pay for it anyway and then they offered it for free. It was like getting $600 back!

This seriously messes my plans up if this is truejennyf10 said:Hey, anyone who is interested in paying OOP and using 3-9 TS for an adult meal, or even paying OOP for 10-11 yr old and using the TS credit should look at the posting called 'FYI' under 'Disney Restaurants'. The thread says that Disney will change their policy, starting July 1st, and charge children 10 and up as adults instead of children. What are your thoughts? Is this true? When I booked the meal plan the CM told me I couldn't use the DS6's TS credit for an adult meal (even though many, many people do this since the meals are pooled and not separated) but that I could use DD10's TS credit towards an adult meal since I'm paying adult rate for her meal plan. However, if I have to pay adult price OOP for her it doesn't make sense for me to do this.

When they say an appetizer is included in the table service meal, could that be soup or salad or does it have to come from the appetizer part of the menu? For example, at Narcosse's, they have an appetizer section and a separate soup/salad section. Would salad or soup not be considered an appetizer then? Thanks!
I was told to ask that the restaurant that I'm at. Some do consider it an appetizer some don't. I was also told it can vary at the same resturant daily depending on who is in charge. One the manager may say yes it is the next a different manager will say no it isn't. I know this doesn't help but that is the answer I was given from Disney Guest Services. If your really need to know I would call he restuarant and ask them. Disney dining will give their number. It's the same as FDP, Hollywood & Vine will sometimes take the dining package as payment because they don't lose any money on it and their waitstaff usually get a bigger tip from dining as most people do not tip 18% at a buffet. Whereas MM, HBD lose money on FDP already and taking the dining package would just make it a loss of more money. They couldn't say it taken at H&V but MM & HBD so said it wasn't taken anywhere on the dining package.CJK said:I don't think I've read the answer to this question. TIA.
Because the person who doesn't order their own meal is still eating "free" portions of the meal (such as chips at a Mexican restaurant) and is creating work for the staff - drink refills, dishes to bus and wash, etc. It's not uncommon for restaurants to charge a "set up" fee for patrons who do not order a meal.DisneyMom5 said:Why is it a big deal to share at a per plate type restaurant (not all you can eat)?
