We will be in MK on Dec. 12th (which is a Friday) We have a PS at CRT for 8:10. We hope to be right at the rope drop for Fantasyland at 9am.
Now my questions, what ride should we go to first? I am thinking either Dumbo or Winnie the Pooh.

Our plan is to head of to Winnie the Pooh/Dumbo (which one we don't do first we will do the other right after) then head to
Mad Tea Party
Snow White Adventures
Mickey's Philamagic
If Ariel is out at this time maybe get her autograph
hop over to Small World
then Peter Pan.
After Peter Pan we are heading on to Liberty Sqaure to ride the Haunted Manison!! :smooth:

So the big question is Pooh or Dumbo first?
I know Peter Pan gets long lines too but since we are heading to Liberty Square right after Fantasyland I would think it would be a good idea to save Peter Pan as the last ride in Fantasyland. Or maybe should I send someone over to get some Fastpasses for it before we go see Mickey's Philamagic???

Also should we be able to do all of this plus Splash Mountain & BTMRR by 12:30?
If possible we would like to ride the Haunted Manison at least twice, it is the whole family's favorite MK ride

Since Pooh and Dumbo are your priorities, I would run and get fastpasses for Pooh then get right in line for Dumbo. Crowds shouldn't be too bad that day anyway, but that assures you that you should be able to have a very short wait for both rides.

Keep to the rest of your schedule, and as soon as you are eligible for another FP make sure to get one for Peter Pan then continue on wherever you are in your schedule.

This should get you through everything in Fantasyland you want to do by 12:30, I should think.

Have fun!

I agree, make Dumbo the first ride, as it's the slowest loader. Pooh gets long lines, but loads faster, as does Peter Pan. But if you can get fastpasses for either/or both of these, that could really help make things easier. It might, however, be tough to hit them all by 12:30 on a Friday.

I would do

1) Dumbo
2) Pooh
3) Peter Pan
4) Philharmagic (if you can't get in next show FP)
I would do these rides in that order because of the wait times..everyone hear on DIS knows how good Philharmagic is but for most it wont be on their 1st to due list. I have found that Snow White, Carrousel and Tea Cups usually have very short wait times as does IASW early...I would do Small World last b4 going to HM.

I'd agree with the others saying to do Dumbo first. The line can get very long very quickly for Dumbo. Pooh tends to load faster AND it's a FastPass ride, you have a better shot at getting on it more quickly.

We were at Disney in July, during peak season. We got to the Magic Kingdom as the rope dropped and hurried right over to Dumbo. We rode Dumbo three times which completely satisfied both dd. Then we went right over to Pooh which we rode three times. After that we went to:

Snow White
Peter Pan
Small World
Cinderella's Carousel
Tea Cups
Ariel's Grotto

During the summer Philharmagic wasn't open yet so I am not sure where you could fit that in. We rode everything multiple times without a long wait on anything and finished all of Fantasyland by noon. I think we could skip Ariel's Grotto next time since my kids were not that interested. I would think that on December 12 you should be able to do everything even faster since lines will be shorter. We are also planning to be in the Magic Kingdom on 12/12. See you at Dumbo when the park opens!:teeth: :earsboy:

Generally, I agree with what others have said based on wait times and FastPass use on Pooh. HOWEVER...

The last time we were there, we went over to Pooh very early and were able to ride through the ride with Eeyore. It was a big hit with everyone in our group and Eeyore (riding with us) got very excited everytime he showed up in the attraction. One of those Disney magic moments!

If you decide to go on Dumbo first, definitely get a FastPass for either Pooh or Peter Pan.

Have fun!

Dumbo. We were there last week For EMH on Sunday and did Carrousel, Pooh, Snow White, went to do Dumbo and the line was long so we skipped it then did Peter Pan , It's a Small World, Carrousel again, then Mad Tea Party. Went back on Thursday EMH did Caroussel then straight to Dumbo, line was not too long, waited maybe 5 minutes.

I have noticed that Tea Cups tends to get a bit crowded sometimes, so here's an idea that's close to the others. Firts go on Dumbo (ride it 2-3 times if you wish). Then get FP for Pooh. While waiting for Pooh ride Tea Cups and maybe SWSA since its in the same vicinity.

Best of all though, no matter what you do you can't go wrong because you'll be in WDW:bounce: ::MickeyMo

We were there second week in Oct. found that if we were there at rope drop (which we were twice) we were able to ride everything in FL by 11:am. So I wouldn't bother getting FP for rides in FL. If you have a fleet footed hubby. Send him for FP's at either Splash or Thunder mountain, on the way back have him try HM it doesn't seem to be connected and will allow you to get a FP before your time comes up. When you head over to use your FP get one for the other mountain.

Dumbo first - if you have two adults in the party and one or two children do a chuck a bubba relay (Unofficial Guide term) and line up (I think it is 24 or so people apart) - let the 1st adult take the kids and have the 2nd wait in line - when the first is done take the kids to the 2nd adult

Of course this might get you some ugly :earseek: stares from some of the others in line so it is at your discretion

::yes::

Thanks

Thank you every one! I guess Dumbo it is ;)
I was thinking Pooh but I think that is because the last time we were there it was closed down so I have never been on it.

But it does make sense to go to Dumbo first ;)

Hey I haven't thought of it. Hubby doesn't really care for the tea cups & he can give or take Snow White. Maybe he can get a FP for one of the mountains & my son & I can ride those & if he isn't back go stand in line for Ariel's, if she is out at that time.

Thanks for the idea. I think we will really use it

That would be SO COOL!!!! We always joke that we are an "Eeyore type of family" (if you know what I mean! ;) )
We would be in heaven if we got to ride with Eeyore!!!

We have done this with Dumbo. I think it is a good system, but I know what you mean about the ugly stares.
But it doesn't bother me because I don't consider it line cutting since DH has been standing in line & him & my son will be riding in the same Dumbo, he isn't taking up another elephant.

Cool!
We will be the family of 3 with the smiles as big as Texas since we are in WDW :teeth:
