Well we eventually got through on the phone and DVC said you have to choose between the Ariel under the sea bit and Belles castle! What is a girl to do! We went for Belle as I wanted to see the castle but I wish you could do both ( greedy ). Good luck we had to hold on in the queue for a while!

I can't believe they are making you choose. Why not just open that area specifically for the people that are accepted to the preview and let them walk around and do whatever they want?

We're here this week so we've been in that area a bunch of times and I really don't think that many people would be hanging out there for more than a couple of hours to get everything done. There isn't THAT much stuff to do.

I don't think there's that much difference. You get storytime with Belle, or a photo-op with Ariel. Otherwise they are pretty much the same. Both get the Little Mermaid ride and tour of Be Our Guest restaurant.

Omg I thought because we choose Belle we would not get the Mermaid ride. Really! I am delighted

DW is elated to be seeing the Fantasyland expansion. See was sad to hear that the soft opening was happening, she wanted to be first.

We are really excited. I have 3 daughters, the older two are 6 and 4. We go every November for the 6 year olds birthday, this year we were not going to go. Last year they saw the construction and ask all the time if there are pictures online, if the rides are open, etc...my oldest recently asked when the new rides were opening, I explained that the new Fantasyland is opening in a few weeks but we won't be able to see it until our trip in October 2013. She asked if we could go for her birthday this year, we told her we could not (this wasn't really a lie, all along we had decided we could not swing a trip this year).

We decided just a little over a week ago to put a trip together. We are there the 3rd-9th, and got in for the preview on the 5th. We decided NOT to tell the girls, we are going to surprise them a day or two before. They are going to be really shocked. Even though they don't think we are going this year, they talk about their trips all the time and my older daughter even measures my younger daughter about once a week to see if she's tall enough for certain rides!

I can't wait to tell them.

Anything from little Disney gift bags for the journey to cakes with writing on! I surprised my DW with a photo album one year with the resort name and vacation dates on the front but blank on the inside ready to be filled!

Anything from little Disney gift bags for the journey to cakes with writing on! I surprised my DW with a photo album one year with the resort name and vacation dates on the front but blank on the inside ready to be filled!

We did the Ariel preview. I don't know how to tell them, the photo album is a great idea for a surprise, but they wouldn't get it. Though I'm surprising my wife for her 40th birthday next April with a weekend away, I might have to use the photo album idea for that!
