My almost 9 yr old, Ashli, just told me last night that she doesn't want to go into the kids club......AHHHHHH...I told her I would try to hook her up with some other 9 yr olds before so she has someone to look for. Is there any other 9 yr old girls out there??????? Ashli turns 9 on Tuesday...I also have David who is almost 6...he could care less about knowing someone before hand and he will make friends just fine...and so will Ashli, she is just got it in her head right now that she won't go in there and I hubby and I were sooooo looking forward to the CM coming and getting the kids halfway through dinner so we could enjoy the rest of our dinner...anyone???

I am actually going to go to the store and buy the material to make one. My sewing machine is bust but I've got one in my mom's house that I can use. Next I've got to start looking for my FE gifts. Getting some ideas together And surprisingly enough my 15 year old son is keen on this....but then it's fun and at times he like to still be a kid at heart .... going to get his help for the FE gifts.....I promise no strange things lol I can only imagine what he would do if I let him have cart blanche

On here I saw how to make a FE using duct tape. It came out amazing looking! SO this year I'm going to make 1 with duct tape Will post it when I'm done!

The gifts of course are taking a little longer to plan out but I have my main ideas! Can't wait to put them all together & deliver them. THe kids had a blast last year going all over the ship delivering them with me. We even had a situation were we had to hide really quick from another fam delivering! lol wanted things to be a surprise

Hey!!! Welcome aboard. Cruisevirgin is organizing the fish extenders and has started a spread sheet for them. Just shoot her a pm. Also, we have. Facebook page for this cruised as well. I think here is a link for it here somewhere!!! You should know you room number about 30 days prior to the sail date!!!

So we went to port canaveral at about 4:30 this morning to watch the fantasy pull into its home port for the very first time!!! It was amazing, Disney handed out those white gloves on a stick that said "Disney fantasy". The shp pulled in at around 6:00am and the fireworks were blasting from all parts of the ship. One of my favorite parts was that it played the full version of "when you wish upon a star" which can only be done on the dream and fantasy!!! I uploaded some photos and my wife uploaded a video on the Facebook page for this sailing!!! Less than 2 months to go, cannot wait.

P.S. just signed up for the Everest challenge at animal kingdom which takes place the night we get back!!! My goal is to run 6 miles around the deck every morning and then do the 5K on castaway cay so I stay in shape while taking in 20,000 calories a day!!! If anyone sees me on the ship, please remind me to run my 6 miles!!!

We are actually OGT and not GTY, my mistake. Mt TA said its about 10 days out till we receive a room number. Hopefully we can still be part of the FE bc that was my daughters fav! She loved delivering all her goodies!!

Glad to hear there is another little girl her age! You'll probably find mine in the club lol! She's obsessed with that place!! I'm just hoping she grows a half an inch bc if she can't ride the aqua duck again, she will flip lol!

Welcome! Don't be worried, you will both have agreat time!!! Feel free to post any questions here to help aleve your concerns. This will be our third cruise with Disney and our two kids are 8 1/2 and 21 months. On our first cruise they were 7 and 3 months.

As far as FE, it is a gift exchange for all cabins involved. It can be as simple as candy or some extravagant home made item of your choosing. I love to look at the homemade FE thread on Disboards! I always find it easier to access by Googling "homemade FE gifts" than to locate it here. On our first cruise, we gave a personalized photo album to each family and some candy for the kids. Keep it simple for yourself and don't make it a burden. It's all about fun!!!

Thank you Marni. I know will be probably fine inside the ship but my worries are if we decided to do any excursions. I've never been to costa maya or cozumel and I don't know what to do or what to expect. I'll like if anyone could suggest which excursion will be good for me and my daughter?? AG73 - our daughter is 5 too and an only child so I am sure they can have some fun together! I am still trying to figure out FE ideas too. But if you google Fish Extender Ideas you get some great posts and pics of things people have done in the past.

It'll be awesome if we can meet and let them have some fun together. We'll be celebrating our birthdays, mine is in April and she turns 6 years old in May, that's why I decided to book the cruise. I've never done a 5k but I want to do it, hopefully it happen this time...

I'll be googling the FE to see what I ideas I can get for that...Thanks once more.

Hi there. I saw your message that you are interested in participating in the FE exchange! That's great. The exchange has about a dozen cabins involved. At the beginning of April I will send everyone involved a spreadsheet with the names, ages, genders, and cabin numbers of all participants. At some point during the cruise you go to their cabin door and leave a little something in their Fish Extender - have you seen any on the FE Disboards? Some are really great. The gifts can range from small trinkets or candy up to more extravagant homemade gifts. Do not fee pressured to spend a lot of money! When you surprise people it's up to you. I have also included on the list if people dine during early or late sittings if you have an opportunity to deliver when they're not there for sure.

When you get to 10 posts, PM me your names, age of your daughter, room number, and your home e-mail so I can send you the file.

Heck yes! That would be great! I was nervous booking this for just the two of us but I think everything will be ok! We usually travel just the two of us, however this will be our first cruise with just us. Would be great to connect with another single mom! You guys doing any excursions?

We are in the same boat so to speak with waiting on our room number. However we sill signed up for the FE, at the very worst we'll get our room number last moment and hopefuly get it to the updated list....alternatively I guess we could put our missing cabin number on our FE gifts.....not really sure what would happen in this case....but you aren't the only one!

Though....

With the stresses at my job I can't wait until we go I'm getting desperate
