Is there any chance of us first-time cruisers of getting a Paolo reservation? I heard it's impossible, except for maybe the first night on the ship. Anyone know?

Very much so! When we booked our Palo and Remy there were still openings for each for dinner, so there is a chance if you are one of the first to book when ressies open for you that you can snag one. The better news is that even if they all show booked you have a good chance of getting a ressie on the ship; even for brunch or high tea. As soon as you board, go straight to Palo and they will let you know when the have openings. If by chance there is nothing showing open by the time you get there, there is still a chance you could enjoy one or more meals by going on their wait list.

This is our First Disney Cruise and a last moment decision by hubby to tell me to go ahead and book. This is also our first cruise ever. It will be me, hubby and our 14 (almost 15) year old son Aaron.


As for dressing up, we will but I haven't told Aaron yet that....when he went to his grade 8 graduation it was all I could do to get him into dress pants and a tie.

Question how would we go about joining on FE thing when we don't have a stateroom number yet....not sure why but I guess we won't know until Disney sends our Travel Agent our stuff.

I would request a specific room number - that's what we did. Do you know when you'll hear about your room number? The FE sign-up goes until March 31st when I'll compile the entire list. In the mean time, you can send me everyone's name and kids' ages and genders as well as your home e-mail (PM me this info) so I can send you a file when the list is finalized.

When this thread first started, I mentioned that on my last cruise, the Dis group did a T-shirt. If people want to do one for this cruise, I would be happy to take care of that. The gym where I work has our own shirt press, so I can do shirts for minimal cost.
If a few families want this, I can come up with a design using the "Fabulous Fantasy Fiesta" theme.
Just let me know.

OK...just knocked this out...its kind of weak, but I came up with it in a hurry. I can change verbage and layout. Will try to post...I'm woefully inept at posting pictures here for some reason.
Also...I checked with the supplier we use for shirts...I can get lime green if that is what people want. I *think* that the cost last time I did this was around $8/shirt...the transfers for the shirts were actually what was the largest cost since they are "custom".

When I was searching through the cruise website and playing around with port adventures I found a page that had it listed. It was the only themed night that appeared. My guess is that they want you to know which night pirate night is due to making pirate league reservations!!!

Hey, not sure if this old news or not....but the fantasy is pulling into to port canaveral on march 6th!!!! Anyone else besides my wife and I planning to head out there in the wee hours of the morning??? We did it for the dream and it was pretty awesome. We got there around 2am. They hand out those white gloves on a stick with the name of the ship on it!!!!
