Fantasy to go to Europe?

I've long been hoping to get on a transatlantic cruise. I noticed that the Dream AND Magic both now have itineraries through May 30th, but the Fantasy stops, conspicuously, at May 4th. I can only theorize then that the Fantasy is going to Europe in 2025.

Did we know this was happening? I sure didn't...

This is what I'm expecitng to happen. I wonder if they are doing this so it can dry dock in Europe at the end of the season like the dream is in 2024 before it sails back. The magic is replacing the fantasy's sailing schedule starting on 5/7.

That’s what I’m afraid of with the Fantasy. That would mean once again no NYC season for 2025 like 2024 😢 I hope they eventually return to NYC

That would be awesome! Having done three cruises this year, including the Dream in Europe, we were planning to take a break until 2025. We are considering some in Europe in the beginning of September. Would be incredible to do it on the Fantasy.

I'm also worried this is likely the reason. Which also means the TA probably isn't going to head to Canada like I was hoping. Boooo. Are the fall TAs usually released with the summer or the fall? Wondering how long we have to wait to find out. Haha

Probably with the fall itineraries

A re-imagining of the Dream class ships has been hinted through a few recent surveys, especially as it relates to dining venues so the theory of the Fantasy heading to Europe Summer 2025 for a Fall drydock in 2025, following a similar transformation for the Dream in 2024 makes sense. It had also long been rumored that the Fantasy was the ship that would eventually overtake Europe given its "Europa district". None of these claims are facts... but it makes a lot of sense.

I never understood why the Europa district would be attractive for a ship sailing in Europe. But that’s from my European perspective I guess. If the ship is to attract an European audience (and my May 2023 cruise on the Dream was at least 50% Europeans) they will think the skyline of New York is far more interesting than the one of Paris.

What would be great though, if they change out the scenes in Skyline to fit with your cruise itinerary!!

I personally totally get what you are saying... provide an environment that is different. With that said, you fast forward to mid-June and the ratio of Europeans/Brits to North American traditionally drops significantly... but this could have changed to with the arrival of the higher capacity Dream-class ships... Having an Europa makes everything feels even more European for that oversea cruiser.

The Wonder used to sail out of NOLA and has that strong NOLA vibe (with Tiana's theming)... but now is nowhere near NOLA

From my European perspective, Europa is much better than the District. I just like the theming more and I think the spaces flow better into each other.

I can see them switching them out every couple of years to a) keep attracting Brits to the short cruises and b) so they don’t do as many miles having to do the TA every year.

This makes perfect sense since the Dream May 2025 cruise ends June 2nd which too late for an east bound transatlantic.

What kind of re-imagining? Making them more like the Wish class?

I guess I missed this. So the speculation is Fantasy and Dream will be in Europe 2025?
