Hi,
Wondering if I need to plan to get tickets to these events. DS8 is not interested in Disney Jr at his age and definitely does not want a Princess meal.
He is interested in Fab5, classic characters (like Peter Pan, Hook) Star Wars, anything a little 'cooler'/ older / boy oriented than the above.

Should we check out any of the events? I haven't seen a list of who is there. What do you recommend for a 8-10 yr old boy. (Mine is a very mature 8) but he still like to have fun and I hate to avoid all the character opportunities. TIA

There will be lots of character encounters without the ticketed events. I would (and did!) make my son go see Elsa & Anna just so I could ;). He's 8 as well, but does have a 2 yr old sister so she was my other "excuse". You may want to try for Jack Sparrow on pirate night or on Castaway Cay. He's an awesome character who does a good job acting the part. We saw Woody and Jessie and the fab 5 appear in many different costumes during the 7 day cruise. You won't likely see Star Wars characters unless on a Star Wars day at sea and even then they are limited. we had fun meeting who we did, and he loved collecting autographs to go with the pictures.

What are the ticketed meals? Last time I got tickets to the princess meet and greet as well as the Frozen Girls, what others can i do?

Ticketed meet & greets are only for the Princess Gathering and the Frozen girls, as far as I know no other character meet & greets require tickets. Any character meet & greet listed in the Navigator is open (no tickets).

Depending on the cruise, there maybe a ticketed character breakfast. Tickets are free, but you must get one on the first afternoon after boarding. Some cruises seem to be using Disney Junior characters, others have the Fab 5.

Enjoy your cruise!

Please note that for the Star Wars Day at Sea cruise, the princesses were not a ticketed event, although this could change, so please make sure to ask.

DOn't get hung up on my use of the word "Ticketed." I just meant special ones you have to sign up for in advance. I think there is a Disney Jr, Frozen and Princess. I think the Disney Jr is a breakfast, but could be wrong.
