....Anyone know about this room? We are booked here in Sept and all I know is it is a blocked Veranda.....
I've never heard of of a blocked veranda? Share input please. But, ....
This cabin is a cat 7a that sleeps 3 pax max. That means it has no ceiling pull down bunk, only couch for third pax. Queen for two of course.
This is a 7a obstructed veranda. The obstruction can be seen in the following images. Have you seen these images?

Your cabin/veranda is the first veranda, aft of the OV 5522. This can be seen in the linked images. Interestingly your obstruction is below the line of sight.

Unlike many 7a's.
I feel that is better than an obstruction at line of sight fwiw. lol.
However, this cabin is just forward of the extended veranda cats 4e's that will affect your privacy.
Your veranda only extends the standard amount. The adjoining veranda extends three times the length. Meaning those next door can see
into your cabin.
This is the view from Dream Class 5042/5524 cabin;

Most folks are not pleased with the view.
The real issue is the folks next door can walk out on their balcony and see into your cabin.
Just trying to inform you of the situation prior to boarding.
I would switch out of 5042/55542 if possible before PIF. Move up two levels if possible, still cat. 7a.
This is a challenging cabin pair. I will say, there is another 7a cabin pair that is challenging. It's the 7a's aft on deck 5.

The aft 7a's may lack veranda space, but they have a killer view, so ....
Whether stuck fore or aft, in a 7a, with nosey neighbors looking onto you, remember you are aboard
DCL, so who cares ...
