First Fantasy sailing (hopefully) but so many questions. First, help me confirm the 30-day check-in time. For a Sept 04 sailing, we can complete online check-in the evening (midnight) of Aug 04 into Aug 05 right?

Also, as of now, the best we can do is assume the protocols will look very similar to what is published now. We are assuming the ports of call are still Tortola and St. Thomas and Castaway Cay. We are still not 100% committed to this Cruise, we really want to go but still need to see what the whole experience is supposed to look like and what we get for our money and safety. We have 2 kids, 13 and 17 and all fully vaxxed. Did the safe passage account creation last night with no problems. Anyone else on this sailing have any other words of wisdom?

Yea, the ports of call are a big question mark... maybe a triple dip to Castaway? No, but seriously wondering if cruising can be safe enough for our comport level and are we going to be consumed with "protocols" while on the ship and not able to feel like we are able to really enjoy ourselves. So, what about the check-in question?

The Fantasy is not showing on the cruise port calendar for St. Thomas. She is on the Tortola calendar, but not until Sept 21.

Have you been tracking any restarts for other lines? Does St. Thomas possibly hold off putting on the calendar until its more "confirmed".

Glad to see Tortola on there for the 21st as that is our cruise.

I might try looking it up but does anyone know the St. Thomas or Tortola entry requirements? Do they have anything specific like testing or vaccination?

I wonder if they are dropping the USVI stop until the requirements change? It seems like by stopping at BVI first then the USVI require testing to enter the port and it had to be done 48 hours prior to travel which would mean onboard the ship (since USVI is day 4).

Unless they don't view a US origination to be passengers traveling from BVI if its just a port stop.

Now more interested in what happens with the schedule. Could we see a double dip to Castaway with a stop in BVI?

Looking further I don't see any crossover between USVI and BVI in their schedules through September (didn't check further out). So it almost seems like if you go to one then you will not go to the other. That being said maybe that is normal and only Disney does the crossover ever.

I was originally on the 9/4/21 cruise but moved it To February 26, 2021. I am on the 8/30/21 4-night DD (Dream).

maybe dcl will switch one port to st. Martin’s. Or possibly switch to a western cruise Cozumel, costa Maya & castaway. I did read PR will not let unvaccinated cruisers in, so could be an option too, except for unvaxed cruisers.

The "return to sailing" stuff announced was just for the Dream, right?

With the 30-day check-in date only a few days away, seems they need to say something soon.

Supposedly only for Dream but many suspect it will be the same for Fantasy (especially since its sailing out of the same port).

17 days prior to the first cruise was the timing. They may have wanted to do it at 15 days though but that would have been on a Sunday so they just announced it early.

For Fantasy:
31 Day - August 4th (Wednesday)
30 Day - August 5th (Thursday)
17 Day - August 18th (Wednesday)
15 Day - August 20th (Friday)

I have been looking at the websites in the links above and I am now confused as to if a mixed vaccinated/unvaccinated ship is even allowed to dock in the BVI.

According to the news links on the BVI ports website linked above it talks about the first fully vaccinated cruise arriving. And it refers to the BVI campaign to vaccinate to participate.

https://bviports.org/component/cont...vaccinate-to-participate-programme?Itemid=101
From the governments website linked above it states that unvaccinated people have to quarantine for 7 days.

This website claims that BVI requires all people 16 and above must be vaccinated and 95% of the crew. They do have a link to a PDF from BVIports that does seem to confirm this information.

what is the safe passage account?

So it’s just part of the check in process that opens 30 days out? Not something you can do in advance?

We don’t sail until October, so haven’t started this part yet, but yes it’s my understanding that this is the 30 day process. I think you can actually get the Safe Passage account a day or two before that.

You can register for the Safe Passage account 33 days before sailing. My check-in for the Dream isn't until tomorrow, and we have already completed our Safe Passage account, uploaded vaccine cards, and had them approved. The process is very easy.
