We are very much looking forward to booking our first cruise on the Fantasy for October of 2017 once the rates are released.

I'm pretty well settled on OV as I love the giant sit in port holes.

Are all OV's front or rear of ship...after looking at the deck plans it didn't appear any are midship?

Also, any recommendations on deck 5 or 6?

Do you hear much noise out of the clubs if on 5 with them or on 6 above them?

How do I know I'm not picking an "obstructed view" room?

Thank you!

There are 9B oceanview rooms on deck 2. But you are correct that from deck 5 and up the oceanview rooms are forward and aft, with verandahs across the midship and fully aft.

Enjoy your cruise!

How far are you still above the water line on Deck 2? Also is it a long haul to get to everything from there? Thank you!

I haven't sailed the Fantasy, but I have sailed that category on the Dream, and the 8A cabins (which are the same in both ships) are absolutely wonderful. Two giant portholes and a spacious room layout--I can't recommend these highly enough! (The only downside is no split bathroom.)

We sailed on Deck 2 in the OV rooms on the Fantasy and loved the location. We were close to the MDRs, the theaters, the adult clubs, and the kids clubs. The windows are wonderful to sit in and we didn't feel anywhere close to the waterline.

that is a really helpful photo, @PrincessShmoo ! thank you. would you happen to have one for the midship and/or aft area too?
I have one (well, it's not MINE, I saved it when someone else did it), but it doesn't show the waterline as well. Are you asking for the room numbers?

Would deck 2 be less expensive then deck 5 or 6? Or is it same Cat, same price?

Which deck did you choose?

Here's a thread that (I believe) shows all sides of the Dream with room numbers noted. The Fantasy rooms should be the same. If reading through the thread further than just looking at the room numbers in the pictures, I believe DCL reclassified some room categories so references to categories may not be accurate in some of the posts.
