Fantasy - November 28, 2015 WC

Seriously considering this cruise. The issue is having 7 kids results in 2 suites. And that ain't cheap. But glad to see a thread already We cruised 2000, 2001 and 2009. My daughter will be 18 and want 1 more family trip.

I totally understand the cost thing. My neighbors have five kids and they want to do a Disney cruise so bad, but they too are having trouble swallowing the cost. Heck, I only have two kids and I think it is expensive.

I hope you'll be able to join us.

I agree with disny_luvr - I just have the 2 kids and it is expensive....we are only justifying the expense what with it being our 10 year anniversary cruise. I am just hoping my husband sees how great DCL is compared to other cruise lines and will let me book another on board!

I wanted to introduce ourselves.

This is a picture of ourselves from our last cruise in Nov 2009. We've also cruised in 2000 and 2001. Family with 7 kids with just one girl. She's the oldest. at the time of the cruise they will be 18, 16,15,13,11,9,7. We got 2 oceanview staterooms RIGHT BY THE ELEVATORS !!! Very excited about that.

When we cruised before in 2000 and 2001 we were real novices not knowing what to expect. I am so glad I found the DIS. I love knowing right off the bat what to expect and what we really want to do. We've flown in the past but it looks like we might be driving now and making a big trip out of it.

When I hover over the edit button it says edit/delete but there was no delete. I'm going crazy. Lets see if this works with adding the insert button. My twin boys will be 9-years-old when we sail; maybe they'll "bump" into your kids at the kids clubs. My boys loved the clubs on our last cruise.

I love your family picture! Your matching shirts are great, too. I don't think I could get my DH and boys to wear matching shirts.

Are your rooms Aft, mid or forward? We had an oceanview room on our last cruise and we loved it.

Welcome disneyfan551! You're only as "old" as you feel -We may not be "kids" but we sure are kids at heart.

What a great graduation gift for your DD! She's definitely a lucky girl.

I am open to organizing the FE when the time comes, but have not cruised DCL before so it would be my first time at the rodeo.

We have less than 16 months to go now...crazy how time is flying by.

My family will be joining you all on this cruise! Soooo excited! It will be me (47, yikes...don't feel that old!), DH (47), and DD (14). This will be my dd's and my 8th DCL. Yet, we haven't cruised in about 3 years, so I have been going stir crazy!!

Whoever decides to organize the FE, count me in on that as well! We love doing it!

Look forward to chatting with everyone! I can't join the FB group, as this trip is a surprise for my dd's 8th grade graduation!

We booked this cruise today! We originally planned to book the 11/14/15 one while we are on the Dream on 11/17/14. But I noticed how fast 5E cabins seem to be going and we love the aft cabins. So I convinced the hubby to book the aft as a placeholder then we will cancel onboard and hopefully rebook the same room w/o issue to get the onboard booking discounts.

Then we decided to move to 11/28/15 since we can then travel the Friday after Thanksgiving. My kids will be 5 and 9 by then! My 9 yr old will be in 4th grade and we have year round schools. He's "tracked out" from 11/11/15 to 12/7/15. I just hope we don't switch tracks next year!

Welcome to the cruise! I have twin boys that will also be 9-years-old on this cruise. We, too, booked a category 5E. I didn't learn about these rooms until after our last cruise so I jumped on one of these rooms right away. We are in SR 8188. How about you?

I can't either! I have friends boarding the Fantasy on Saturday and I am so jealous. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited and happy for them because they never cruised before but I want to be boarding the ship, too. I just checked the Ship Mate app and we only have 421 days.

We do have a long way to go. Blah! I enjoy passing the time hanging out on the Dis. It helps ease the Disney blues.
