Fantasy - November 28, 2015 WC

Hi there Everyone,

My wife (Lauren) and I (Scott) have just booked this cruise and we are super excited!:woohoo:
This will be our first Disney cruise and can't wait!
I thought I'd join the boards and drop in and say hello.

Hi, Scott! :wave2:

Welcome to the DIS and our cruise group!

Hi There!!!
We are sailing on this cruise also. We booked this sailing while on board the Magic this past May doing the TA crossing. Our crew is myself, hubs, DD 8 and DS 4. This will be our 3rd DCL cruise, but the first time on the Fantasy!!! Can't wait!

Hi Gang! I've been doing all the leg work for a 23 guest turkey day at my place the oats couple days...I keep saying to my husband, " you know I won't have to do this next year!" T-minus 368 days!

Wow! That's a lot of people! :scared1: Yes, this time next year we'll be two days away from our cruise and you certainly won't be preparing a Thanksgiving meal for 23 people.

One year to go until we start our marathon of flights to Florida. 21 hours of being cramped on a plane. How exciting. :worried:

The things we do to get a Disney fix. :rotfl:

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM. If no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, perhaps someone can start that right in this thread.

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

21 hours on a plane! :crazy2: I can't even image. I just told DH literally one minute ago that this time next year we'll be in our hotel room in Port Canaveral eagerly awaiting our cruise. Can't wait!

Just found this thread and so happy I did. This will be our very 1st cruise ever!! DH 47 pirate: me 42 :laundy: DD 19 :cheer2: I'm very nervous. I'm hoping this thread will help me calm down a bit. I feel like I have a ton of things to worry about. We have been to the parks 10th trip coming up next month :cool1: and know the ins and outs of each park. I'm afraid I will be overwhelmed on the ship.

Any tips would be welcomed. :thumbsup2

I can't wait. This will be our first cruise too!!! There will be four of us me (36), RB (37) and our 2 boys MB(13) and PB(9). I have no idea what to plan for so I'd appreciate any help/tips anyone has!!!!!

Hi all! I've been away a few months from the DIS, so now it's time to get busy planning! So excited! I see alot of you are cruising newbies. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask! That's what we are here for! :wave2:

Has anyone actually started a FE group for our cruise yet?

Been thinking about cruising for a while and this one sounds really nice on the Fantasy! I almost have convinced myself to book.

Tiffany - I was going to message you but don't have enough posts in on the Dis. Our family DH, myself and DS (13) were you tablemates on the Magic WC in 2011. It would be nice to see you all again:) Will any of your other tablemates be joining you on the cruise?

Jeanne

Hey Jeanne! I sent you a pm! Am hoping you are joining us on this cruise!! :cheer2:

DH and I will be on this cruise-our second Disney cruise. We did HAL Alaska last summer.:goodvibes So far, I think that we are the senior of all of you, and this is one of the exciting things I am doing in "my first year after I retire from teaching" mode. :dance3:

This will be our 2nd Disney cruise and I cannot wait! This time I would like to participate in the fish extender. Is one set up yet??

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS where FE began years ago.

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one seems to be coming forward to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.

Very excited that we just booked this cruise for our family. This will be our third Disney cruise, and I think we are hooked! My husband and I will be traveling with our son (8) and daughter (4). This time around we will be joining 3 other friends and their families. The more.....the merrier! Can't wait for a great trip.
My children just LOVED the FE groups on our last cruises. We will definitely want to be involved in one for this cruise as well.
Only 284 more days!!!!! Hahaha

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say hello to everyone, and how excited I am for this cruise. I'm going to be sailing with my wife, and our daughter, who will be about 1 1/2 when we set sail, along with my mother and my 11 year-old brother in another cabin. This will be the third cruise for my mother and I, we went on both the Magic and the Wonder in 2002, and the first cruise for everyone else.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience taking private transportation from WDW to the port? Our original plan was to fly down the day before, rent a car, and stay at a hotel near the port, but, my mom really wants to go to Downtown Disney, and I realized it would actually be cheaper for us to stay on the Disney property than it would be to rent a car and stay at the port. We were considering private transport (possibly a limo, just because it'd be fun, and we haven't rode in one before) so that we could arrive at the port earlier than we would if we took the bus from WDW. Just wondering if any one here has any experience going that route?

Thanks!
