We stayed two nights prior at Radison Port Canaveral. Simple...not the best..but not the worst. Beds were fine. couch was bad. Pool was very nice.

3/31- shuttled to port. Stayed conceirge..so we checked in easy..and then were escorted to the front of the line and on the ship by 1130am. Our room was ready #11002. Wonderful one bedroom suite! amazing with the large verandah.

Summary points for the trip..feel free to ask questions:
Service - OUTSTANDING. They sent the crew to Germany to learn the ship..from the servers in all restaurants, to the lounge, life gaurds and stateroom hosts..even senses spa!

Meals - fantastic..all of them. 2 at AP, 1 RC - then we called in room service for RC. EG and Palo - all outstanding!. AP final show of the sketch is just amazing.

Pirate Night - Awesome new Jack Sparrow added to the show. Fun fireworks

Swimming - never really crowded. The new water area helps. From 10am to about noon..never really more than 10-15 kids in either Mickey or Donald Pool on any of the Sea Days. Port days even less! About 2pm was crosed..about 30 kids...but they still had room to move..not swim..but move.

Seats - if you saved yoru seat with just a towel..Disney staff took them away, which was nice for the mornign seat savers. Towel guys would walk by and take them after a bit of time. So nice to see. I always found 2 seats togehter befor noon. by 2pm was full..but hey..you could jsut sit by the pool and put your feet in with a drink in hand.

Aquaduck - was never crowded..max wait was probably 15 minutes on a day at sea. Most time it was on and off..pretty quick..5 minute waits.

Aqualab - was wet and if it was breezy..it was chilly. Wasn't that crowded..but some played it in it. But because of it's location, very breezy.

Put put - was great. never a wait.

ship detective - fun. played all games..and saw different results with other people on all games..so it was different for many.

character meet & greets were abundant. We never noticed if there was a breakfast to meet them..but they were out so often you didn't need it...and in variety of outfits..pirate, princess, sea clothes...tuxes...we met : Mickey, minnie, donald, daisy, goofy, max, plute Jake, jack, Remy, Emile, Buzz, woody, jessi, Aurora, Belle, Snow white, Tiana, Ariel, Cinderella..and stitch..often in the lobby atrium..but some just strolling around.

Concierge - OMG..you have to do it!!! it's pricey..but so worth it. They do whatever you need. They brought us chips during Aladin, they took care of swiping 30 $50 gift cards for me and just brought me back the receipts, they got me character autographs, arranged all our room service and just about anything you could think of they did or would do!

Castaway Cabana - loved it. so nice, uncrowded. had #1. close to food and bathrooms. i would not stay in 10-17. Far walk plus, when low tide comes in...your lake disappears..literally!! Will reserve a cabana again next year!

Happy LImo - we used Happy Limo and had no problem. Driver text me morning of and was at airport waiting when we arrived. He also text me morning of the disembarkment...and he was there at 852 to get us when we walked off the ship!

I will try and post some fantasy pics

Cruising concierge at the end of the month! :cool1: thanks for your report - makes me even more excited if that's possible!

Thanks for posting! It is nice to hear that they remove the towels.

Thank you very much for the pictures and the trip report.:thumbsup2 We are going on the August 4th sailing and I can't wait.

Thank you for the trip report! Next year I will take my 6th Disney cruise, on the Fantasy. Did they have a Castaway Club reception on your cruise?

Actually on the maiden voyage the castaway club reception was a presentation by John Lasseter. It was great listening to him talk about his background and even got a sneak peek of what is coming up for Pixar....really cool experience.:cool1:

bummer i didn't attend the castaway club reception...when was that..totally missed out on that.

Thanks for the report! We are doing concierge in January and it is so great to see pictures! DH and I chuckled at the picture of your son. My DD has those pajamas too-they are size 24 months and she is in a 4T, but still insists on wearing them. We cant seem to find them anymore despite looking online and at yardsales. :confused3

Thanks for posting the photos. I agree the number of characters around was wonderful for the kids. We also saw many without standing in any lines. Too bad concierge doesn't have room for my family with 4 kids. Will have to try it on one of the classic ships. Glad you had such a great time. :)
