Fantasy March 2-9, 2013 Western Caribbean Meet

We're not interested in doing FE this sailing, but I thought I'd introduce myself and join in on this fun! We're also sailing on this cruise. It's me (22), my parents, and my brother (25). This is going to be our 7th Disney cruise. We've sailed once on the Magic, once on the Wonder, three times on the Dream, and this is our second cruise on the Fantasy.

I know this is a longshot... has anyone ever booked a Castaway Cay cabana ON BOARD? I had wanted to book one and when the window opened for Silver.. you guessed it: Sold Out

Do they ever come available afterwards? Are there more that open up for booking onboard? Does anyone ever cancel? IS anyone here considering cancelling??

It is not a huge deal. We can certainly use that money for excursions or onboard. There is a group of us though and we thought it would be nice. Is there somewhere on Castaway Cay for Seniors to sit; somewhere shady perhaps? I've been there before but this time we are traveling with my Mom (80's) and I've never looked at the island with that in mind. Any help with either situation would be appreciated

Actually we have a cabana we'll be cancelling. It's cabana 15. While we love the cabana, we just don't think it is going to be worth it for us this sailing. Plus we're trying to head back to Disney World in late spring or this summer so we'd rather put that money towards that Disney trip.

OOHHH! We want a cabana too! My mom is "allergic" to the sun. She starts to vomit and gets really sick if out in the sun longer than 5 or 10 minutes. I know it's first come first served but if you let us know when you are going to cancel, those of us interested can vie for it. Thanks

Welcome to the cruise!!! Your 7th? That's incredible! I'd so love a cabana! But with my luck, I wouldn't catch it when you released it. Haha.

Just cancelled our cabana. Hope one of you can get it! We love the cabanas and hoped we could make cabana 15 work. My mom is in a wheelchair and we realized that we really need cabana 1 as that's the only one that suits her needs.

No...it is a really small town about 25 miles east of Dallas. About 35,000 population. Who are the DISers?

My ds goes to vibe meet first night of cruise. It would be nice to meet other parents of Vibe age teens in the Adult area for a drink. Also, has anyone ever gone to Palos solo?

Welcome to the cruise!!! You've found an awesome group of people! Your first cruise? And on the Fantasy? You're going to be HOOKED!!

Unfortunately, the FE list has been closed. Due to the need to order materials and personalized gifts, we closed about 2 weeks ago.

I can start another list in case there are others who'd like to join. Would that be okay?

As for excursions, what we're going is the City Tour in Grand Cayman and the Mayan Ruins Tour in Costa Maya, both with DCL. We were going to go with Native Choice for the Ruins Tour but my family (who most will be cruising for the first time) want to play it safe and stick with DCL. I've heard great things about Native Choice though.

We haven't decided on Cozumel as of yet. Was thinking about the Dolphin Encounter but not sure if I wanna save that money for onboard purchases. I know I've gotta make my mind up soon because it's gonna be here before we know it!

I do believe there are at least two people who have been on the Fantasy. Our first cruise was on the Dream and then the Magic. I can't wait to get on the Fantasy because I absolutely LOVED the Dream ship!
