HI,

I'm going on my first cruise ever, and it is aboard the DCL Fantasy. My buddy and I got a great deal, and we are sharing a standard inside stateroom (11C) to save money and assuming we won't be in it very much. Since I am his guest, he will have the regular bed and I will be using the sofa bed. I'm 6'2", and I don't expect it to be perfect as long as I can get a decent night sleep. Can anyone provide me with tall person experience on the sofa bed ?

Thanks

Ken

The sofa bed is a twin sized mattress that is concealed in the back of the sofa. The cabin steward pulls down the back of the sofa and *voila* there is the twin mattress. I can't remember if the arms of the sofa are higher than the bed or not.

Haven't slept on the sofa bed, but here's a picture of one (not an inside, but should be the same). The arms on the sofa are just a bit higher than the mattress part when the back flips down. Could be padded with extra pillows.

As to length, I can only report that both our sons have slept on the sofa bed on different cruises. They're both 5'10" (I know not 6'2"), but they both reported not having any issues with the sofa bed.

DS 6-5, sleeps on the sofa bed, not ideal, but it works. and hey you're on a cruise ship :):) ::yes::

I'm 6'3" and tried out the sofa bed in a Fantasy cabin for a moment (before putting my daughter to bed). I found it unacceptably short for me, I won't bother trying to sleep in it.

My 6'2" friend had no problems sleeping on the sofa bed, and she has a zero gravity adjustable massage bed at home........Just ask for extra pillows

We just got our assignment of stateroom #5013, which is 11b with a pull down bunk so now I have a choice between the sofa bed and the bunk.

That is great! Our 6'4 son had the sofa and was very comfortable, the bunk was harder for him to sleep on so his sisters got that :)

I am 5"8 and had no problem sleeping on the sofa bed and here is a picture of it folded out.

I'm 6' 2" and have slept on the sofa beds on both the Magic and the Fantasy. It was very comfortable, no issues by me. The bunk bed and the Murphy bed/pull down seemed to be too short or narrow for me.
