Very excited for this cruise. We were on the 4th of July sailing this year too and booked this trip onboard. We loved the itinerary and the ship was beautiful!

Will be happy to answer any questions I can about the ship or schedule. Of those I've seen so far - adult deck, we took our DD up there coming into St. Maarten and nobody chased us off, but I wouldn't have taken her up there to hang out. We also watched the fireworks from there, but asked the bartender and he said they were allowed for that. Fireworks were on day 4, which happened to be July 3rd. Assuming they keep the same schedule, they'll be on July 2nd. My niece LOVED the Vibe (teen club). I had to force her to come out for supper and never saw her outside of that. She also enjoyed the teen only excursions booked through DCL on St. Thomas and Castaway Cay.

I saw someone post about the 5k. I'm trying to get motivated to exercise again. Sign me up and I'll use it as motivation to get started.

My DS did the 5K - excited after a full season of HS track. While not scenic, they did get a little Mickey medal at the end and a bib. No certificate, though.

I plan on doing the 5K. I have run a bunch and I'm doing the Princess half-marathon in February at WDW

Just booked this cruise while on the Wonder last week! So excited!!!!! Woohoo! It will be myself & my best friend (mickeyfan66). We plan on joining in on the FE...I will sign us up when I get logged on the computer... Using the mobile app right now. ;)

Hi everyone! I've had this cruise booking since our Alaskan cruise last summer but just got around to coming on here. Not sure what my problem was....ha ha! Here's our info:

Welcome to our new cruisers! To sign up for the FE, go to post number 2 in this thread and there is a form - and then you're all in!

Cool to see all the interest in the Castaway Cay 5k.... I've been wanting to do the Couch 2 5K with that as my goal - maybe if we get a group to all sign up for it, I'll have my motivation! :rotfl2:

I'm really starting to look forward to this cruise. I've started looking for FE gifts - might actually start picking up some stuff I saw yesterday when I'm out tomorrow! :rotfl:

Just fyi - I was looking at upcoming Disney movie premieres, and it looks like we should have Monsters University on the cruise, along with the premiere of The Lone Ranger (July 3). :cool1:

Also potentially releasing in early 2013 is Oz: the Great and Powerful (I know someone in this movie!) and Iron Man 3 (partly filmed down the street from me!) - so I'm looking forward to some movie time this trip! :cool1:

Is the Facebook group just for FE? Or can my kids connect with other kids?

Welcome! The Fb group is for everything and everyone and if my experience serves me right, it will wind up being a very hopping place once the cruise gets closer.

Hi All,
Sorry I haven't been very active in this group. We have our Pacific Coast Cruise on the Wonder coming up next month and then after that, I will be ready to get more excited about this one :cool1:

After spending the weekend finishing up my FE gifts for the other cruise, I'm still on the fence about participating for this one. I always end up with so much stuff and since we will be flying, I don't know if we will have the luggage space. For the cruise next month, I have a big box full of gifts and DH was just asking me how I was going to get them on the ship. I will have to bring an extra suitcase, just for those (luckily we are a short drive from the port...so no flying this time). Oh well, I guess I will have to wait a bit and see how big of a group we end up having to see if I will be able to join.

Well folks. It is all but a done deal. DW will be calling to cancel this cruise in the next few days. While I am bummed that I won't be joining you, other life events have changed our outlook.

DD23 and her BF are to be married in September of 2013. We are going to have a wedding to pay for, not to mention all the planning leading up to it. There is now way DW would be able to relax and enjoy the cruise with that date looming so close. We thought about moving the date, but we could use the deposit to help pay for things.

So, it is for a really great reason, but still disappointed.

I know you folks will all have a most excellent time!

Congratulations to your DD and her BF!!! I'm sorry you won't be sailing with us but it is for a very wonderful reason :cool1:

So, is it too early to start booking non-Disney tours and things do you think?

Still so far away but I want to start doing something to make it feel closer!!

Hi we booked this cruise two weeks ago. We sailed on the Dream this past June 29th. So exactly one year later we will get to experience the Fantasy. My kids had their time of their life. They were in Vibe all day and night. They still keep in touch with many of the teens via FB. We can't wait to do it again.

# of Adults & names me and DW
# Kids & names/ages DS (16) and DD (14) at time of sailing.

Do you want to participate in the FE? Not at this time.

We booked this cruise when the rates opened in October, but weren't sure we were keeping it. Based on recent conversations with my DW things are looking a lot more positive.

We just got off the Fantasy Saturday, which was the same 7 day Eastern itinerary. It was my 10th DCL cruise and by far the best and that includes the 15 day 2008 EB Panama Canal cruise.

The ship is the best of the 4 (been on all 4) and the cast members I have come to know over the last 10 years have all moved to the Fantasy so it was like coming home even though it was my first time on the Fantasy.

We booked adjoining Cat 4As on the 08/25/12 cruise, we had one Cat 4A for this cruise, but changed the stateroom after the August cruise since the foot traffic above on deck 11 kept us up way too late which was the only negative. We moved to "Pepe's Lounge" (inside joke) on deck 5, Cat 4E. We really like the very wide verandahs on deck 5.

Welcome! We also think the Fantasy is the best of all the ships --- and have many cast members that we've kept in touch with from ship to ship. My kids feel so at home there!

Have you joined the Fb group yet? It's easier to make face/name connections. The link to the FE sign up is in post #2, I think ---- it should be a lot of fun!

We are also on Deck 5...looking forward to the large verandah this year. We were aft on 5 with lg porthole in July and loved being close to the kids club for our younger kids. Want to stay forward this time but on the same floor and added the verandah for this sailing. We will be in 5052.
