Just got off the Fantasy. I don't want to bore anyone with a long story about it but if anyone has any questions I can answer them.
This was our 10th Disney cruise btw. We are now platinum.
The entertainers were as follows:
Michael Holly (juggler) - didn't do much juggling, especially difficult juggling was mostly a comedian but a very funny one at that. He was our best on board act.
Paul Aldrich (guitar/"comedian") - his first time on the fantasy. It was a complete bomb. He did a family cabaret and got some sympathy laughs from the kids. At his adult show nobody was laughing. Afterwards everyone was joking about him. It was so awkward to watch. He basically changed words in songs and things like that. At one point literally NOBODY laughed at a joke and he didn't know what to do so he stopped playing and drank water for a minute. I had to contain my laughter. The silence in the room was terribly uncomfortable. I noticed on his website he is booked for more Disney cruises...beware...
Magic Dave - he didn't do any impressive magic. all of his tricks were unoriginal, and mostly can just be bought online. He was pretty funny though. His adult show was the best.
Dale K (hypnotist) - he did a family cabaret and an adult show. Both were pretty much exactly the same. the shows were pretty long and got kind of boring. I am pretty convinced the people were hypnotized for the most part however. (he did 15 people at once each show) I prefer funny shows though. This was just strange/boring at times.
As people have mentioned the stage shows were as follows
1. Fantasy Come True- similar to the old welcome/variety shows. Only difference is instead of 2 variety acts coming up they only let Michael Holly come up. I felt a little cheated only getting 1 performer, since the show is really cheesy other than the guest performer.
2. Aladdin
3. Wishes
4. Pirate Night
5. Magic Dave - felt cheated here to. There used to be more stage shows. This could have just been a family cabaret. Doesn't count as a stage show IMO.
6. Believe - altered for the Fantasy. Not completely the same as the show on the Dream.
7. Farewell show- once again extremely cheesy and they only had 1 guest performer instead of 2 like they used to. Magic Dave came out for only about 15 minutes. He did his worst performance of the cruise here. This was the worst show.
I really think they skimped on the stage shows. Anyone who has done 7 day cruises previously would probably agree.
