On pirate night, DS dresses up moderately, DW takes it a little further and I am known as the nightly "stick in the mud!" They celebrate if they get me to wear the free bandana they hand out at dinner.

Your DW and I should chat. I bought a new pirate dress to wear on cruises only.

I agree it is very quiet on the facebook page. My 15 year old only seems to talk to people on x-box, but my dd is really into meeting people before she goes so I will get her on again. I think it is because they don't have facebook accounts so neither are use to using it.

I will talk to my shy dh about brunch. He was most excited to see deck chairs on the dream balcony of our room so I think he is into hanging out on the back of the ship and chilling. I could always make a solo journey. My mom is also game for anything so I am sure she would be my date even though she is not on the boards.

I will call Disney today and see what information I can get on brunch. When I told DH about this he said "What, there is not enough food on the boat for us to eat that we need a special reservation"

I just spoke with Disney and brunch at Palo is $20 a person. It is adults only. The maximum number of guests per table is 6. I don't think I will be able to do this as that would leave the kids on their own. We could all meet somewhere else for breakfast instead. What do people think?

Funny thing is, this morning I was reading some of these posts to the family. My son's reaction: "Xbox! What is his user name?" So I think he felt the same way. I don't think the game matters. They just need to know everyone else's username.

Palo - EXCELLENT food! We have done both brunch and dinner. DH prefers dinner, I prefer brunch. On one cruise we made the mistake of doing both the same day - we did learn from that mistake. Brunch is only offered on sea days. If you do a search on Palo you will find many threads with lots of pictures. The kids clubs will feed the kids if they are in the club during lunch or dinner. They take them to a buffet.

Pirate night - many people dress up, many people don't. Do what you feel comfortable with and have fun.

Facebook group - I have mentioned it to DS several times and he grunts. He has a PS3 not xbox - anyone on PS3?

Eastern excursions - not much help here. On our previous Eastern DH went golfing in St Thomas while I stayed with an under-the-weather DS, I did sneak out for about an hour for a power shopping trip. This cruise did not go to St Martin, we went to Tortola instead. This time Noah is going to do the teen excursion at St Thomas, DH & I are going to shop and maybe do the tram. St Martin we booked a 3 stop snorkel excursion on our own.

Prebooking - the most important would be Palo reservations. Very few excursions will sell out early. Doing on the online check-in early also gives you the most port arrival options.

I think that was most of the questions I saw, keep asking - this is the fun stuff!!!

We arrive on the Thursday before the cruise. Not sure where we are staying or what we are doing.

We are using points to stay at Saratoga Springs on Friday night. Since we're driving we will arrive there around 2 pm then head over to DTD for the rest of the day.

Since we are using points to fly we are flying Wednesday to Wednesday. We are staying at the Pop the first leg and then POR Royal Rooms for the second part. I got a good code and we are still tossing around the idea of going to WL on the second half but those Royal Rooms look so cute.

Garak, my son will try and contact your son on xbox. I wish the nice weather would keep him outside .

That good weather is right around the corner for us as well. 70 possible this upcoming week.

Please send me your son's gamer tag so that he can look out for it. Ironically I am going downstairs right now to play xbox with him.

Lastly, we got a great code for July as well. We too are in the Royal Rooms. POR is DW favorite. I like it a lot but AKL is my favorite. This time however, I am staying away or else I'd eat in Boma for every breakfast and supper. That would certainly due harm to my cruise budget!

Well, to get the ball rolling again, we are now up to 8 accounts on Facebook with probably more kids since I know for me my two are using my one account. I have looked through the thread and can't find Amanda R. anywhere. I am ready to put you in the group as soon as I know you are here somewhere.
