We got a dayroom at the MCO Hyatt. It was about $100 but it was nice to have a place to crash and a pool to use. You're kicked out of your room pretty early, so I showered there, too.

The wait for the shuttle to the airport was pretty quick. We had a late breakfast (relatively speaking) and then walked straight off the ship, through Customs, and then right on to the shuttle.

Also, bring pants! My BIL and SIL tend to wear shorts when they got on the plane in Chicago, in anticipation of the warm Florida weather and they've complained, repeatedly, how cold it was. I mean, it's relative, but it might just not be warm... especially on the open water, which also tends to be breezy!

I'm sure we will have clothes for all types of weather. Coming from Michigan in January we will probably have winter coats as well. If next winter is anything like the one we just had anything above freezing will feel amazing, lol.

We usually just layer. We'll go to the airport (hello from Ann Arbor!) in a sweatshirt, a fleece, hat and gloves. Then, at the airport, take off the fleece and put the hat and gloves in the suitcase. Since flights tend to be cool, I'll keep the sweatshirt on and handy, depending on the weather forecast for Orlando.

Funny that you quoted this part of my message - since then, the aforementioned BIL/SIL asked us to join them on a cruise next summer. I did the pricing and HOLY COW, man. It was nearly twice the cost of what we're paying for this one! (But then again, I don't generally travel in peak times).

That's probably what DH and I will do, but I'll probably still dress DS in full out winter gear. A toddler winter coat will be a lot easier to deal with then 2 adult winter coats.

We ARE close! We're about 20 minutes west. I do like the convenience!

I just started to gather up goodies for the FE exchanges and got to wondering, are the childrens' ages current or when we go on the cruise? I want to make sure what I get or make are age appropriate.

Hi everyone! WE are surprising our son Jackson, 7, with this cruise at Christmas. We are so excited!!! This will be our 4th Disney Cruise. Hoping that Jackson will find other kids his age to play with.

I should add, we are from Toronto, and our previous cruises were 7 night Magic, 7 night Fantasy and 4 night Magic. We loved ALL of them, and were with either family or friends on all three. This time, it's just the 3 of us. I'd already been looking at this date, and when the Star Wars day was announced, that cinched it!

My son has decided to be a stormtrooper for Halloween, which will work out perfectly with the cruise being a surprise!

Woohoo! When we heard about Star Wars days, my husband's interest was piqued and so was some of our friends! We're the first to put down a deposit, though and we'll see if the other two groups do. This will be our second cruise on the Fantasy.

Wow, I'm excited for you! What a big group! You'll have so much fun.

Going on our first Disney cruise with this one. The star wars day is what tipped us into going this year. My sister is looking forward to the FE and is already looking for gift ideas!
