Fantasy having mechanical issues

Where do you see a tug ? I can't see diddly in the water around the ship...too dark ?

I don't know if it's a tug or Coast Guard boat or what, but in the little map. :) Below the video.

Might the harbor pilot. Though I would expect tugs to escort her out also.

ETA. Just saw the icon. Its the tug florida.I did see some lights back there before and never thought to look at the AIS map.

She DOES look beautiful. Hope its smooth sailing for those onboard...

In the past, the vibration issue would have been felt in that room. As noted, in the past, that vibration was primarily obvious when the ship was cruising at high speed (20 knots, or so). Since this most recent cruise was really not that far out from Port Canaveral, the issue with vibration due to speed wouldn't be apparent.

Those who are reporting vibration on your cruise may reporting vibration due to a different issues. Possibly the reason she lost one prop.

I believe the Fantasy usually runs at high speed (around 20 knots) between PC and CC and back. Last Thursday night we were doing over 21 knots going to Freeport for the med evac. We then cruised slower going back to CC with the whole night to kill. (I wondered what the extra fuel cost was for that unexpected high speed run, making the asumption that higher speed uses more fuel.) We were on deck 8 by the aft elevators. We felt a little vibration but nothing like what we felt at high speed on the eastern 7-day four weeks ago.

I'm also a heavy sleeper, can sleep through severe thunderstorms and don't know anything about them until the next morning - could possibly be the reason I didn't notice anything during the night.

We were just next door to an aft room on deck 7 in 2014. We would feel some vibration at night, but I chalked it up to the boat moving, the motors, and the stabilizers. We didn't mind it all. In fact, it was a little hard to get to sleep after the cruise without being rocked to sleep:) We don't really mind movement though and have no issues with motion sickness. I don't really get the obsession with this vibration though. It's a giant thing moving through the water quickly. I would be shocked if there wasn't a little vibration.

heard in another group they told the tug to go away and now est departure not until 11:30pm

Btw, If any one is paying attention, both of her anchors are hanging loose.

It wasn't a "little" vibration. It was like those cheap motel vibrating bed things. Couldn't sit in bed, with head against headboard, to watch TV.
Agree..things moving off the dresser and navigator moving slowly off the bed LOL. It was pretty bad.

Do you think this is related to the mechanical issues, or is it just the normal time needed for turnaround?
