Fantasy February 16, 2013 - 7 Night Western Cruise Meet

While not a first timer but do have a question on the sail away party.

Our first Disney cruise was 10/9 and our sail away was inside due to the weather, and then we didn't leave port until around 4-5 am. We would like to experience the sail away, but also would like to enjoy leaving from our balcony as well. Would we have time to do this or are we better to just stay up on the deck

You have time to do both. Go up to the deck for the sail away party and after they do the countdown and the captain blows the horn, go back to your stateroom to watch us sail away from your verandah. It takes a few minutes for the captain to navigate away from the dock, so you'll have plenty of time to get back to your stateroom. :goodvibes

Thanks so much!! That is what I was hoping to hear. Now comes the hard part of waiting a whole year.

So happy to see we are not the only ones so excited for this cruise. :cool1:

We would be interested in doing the FE as well. I am keeping track of the FE list in a spreadsheet so if you need me to share it anytime I would be happy to.

Hi everyone!

I must say, the sail away party is lots of fun - not to be missed IMO.

When we went on our first DCL we were nervous about the concept of cruising. Once we went to the sail away party I knew I was hooked.

I think it would have been better last October had I not been so worried about the weather. I have to say the flight was the worst I've ever had. Then to be locked down in the port was a little nerve racking. We are hoping this time will be so more memorable :)

I forgot to post last week that we are in Cabin 9579 we are interested in FE
in the cabin will be the 4 of us DW/DS9/DD6.

So we were keeping this a secret from the kids (in the event things don't pan out). We just told them about the WDW trip in July.. For my Birthday DW got me the Magic Kingdom Family Tour where we help to save the MK.. Has anyone taken this tour??

counting the days until Jetblue open their fares for 2/16/13

I'm so excited for this cruise!! My parents (aged 64 and 61 at time of cruising) NEVER travel (they enjoy it - they just don't put forth the effort to plan trips) and have never taken a cruise. We convinced them to go with us and I'm bouncing up and down because I know they are going to have the time of their lives!

If possible, my husband and I would love to participate in the Fish Exchange! How do I sign up? Our stateroom is currently 9506. We downgraded to an Oceanview this time until we know what the financial situation will look like next year. If things go well, we'll upgrade to our usual mid-ship balcony room.

I forgot to request getting in on FE. So please include us. We've done it in the past and it was fun :) We're in 7570
BTW~ If anyone is interested in penpals (emails, fb, txting) for the kids to get to know each other, i'd be in on that also. Sometimes it's hard for the children to jump into friends onboard (but they eventually do) but if they start penpaling prior to sailing, they already have friends  and are excited to meet. Just a suggestion. Have a fantastic weekend everyone, TGIF!!
Linda 46 (me)
Erik 44 (dh)
Gianna 13 (dd) <<at time of sailing
Kayla 12 (dd) << at time of sailing.

My DDs may go for something like this (though mine dont fb or email and they barely txt)... Or we can just meet up sometime b4 the cruise - I live just north of the NYC line in Westchester. Maybe something we can do later in the summer.
