FANTASY FANTASTIC:::September 8, 2012

Hello everybody! Just booked this cruise a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't figure out why there was no roll call to speak of over on cruise critic and now I know why: you're all over here!

Super pumped about the trip. Hubby and I will be traveling solo...we officially became empty nesters this summer so what better reason to act like kids again!

The only downsides to last minute are that I couldn't get one of my favorite aft cabins at very back of ship and ALL the specialty dining is sold out for advance booking. We also can't check in until 1:30 so we may be out of luck for on board booking too. Ah well...I think that's what they call 1st world problems right??

I'm over on the Facebook group now too and am happy to see some fellow Canucks...Tasha and Tom I think we're next door neighbours!

Glad I found all of you!:cool1:

Welcome to the cruise... all the NUTS and bolts too ! :rotfl2:

Just wondering if there are any experienced Scuba divers watching this thread? My wife, 3.5 year old daughter, and I are headed out on our first Disney cruise on the 9/8 Fantasy and are certainly excited.

My wife doesn't scuba and I'm looking to do some diving at St Maarten or St Thomas (or both) Any experienced divers out there who are booking/looking for options to get under the waves? I'd love to get a group together or join an existing. Any recommendations on boats to go out with are appreciated.

And yes, we've been reading and will be dressing up for pirate night :)

g0wave, my husband and I booked with Admiralty Dive on St Thomas. Their boat docks at the same dock as the Fantasy so we just meet their boat on the dock at 8 that morning, back by noon. I found them via recommendations on Scuba Board. We bring our own gear (comfort) but it's only a $10 difference to use theirs.

We haven't planned to dive St Maarten because we're travelling with our 1 year old and he'll be in the nursery that morning in St Thomas... so not sure how that's going to go over with him. If you find something spectacular in St M I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to persude the husband to dive again, toddler permitting.

Someone else on this forum had booked the Disney excursion and it was cancelled because their reviewing their contract with the dive shop, so he booked direct but has to walk to their shop. I don't know the name, Island Dive or Ocean Blue or something. We had already gone direct with Admiratly even when the excursion was still offered because I'd heard on Scuba Board that the Disney trip went to the same site as the snorklers.
