Great stuff! Hello fellow Fantasy Fans!

Anyone interested in a [door] magnet exchange?

Count me in too!! Design ready.....just need to find the printable magnets. I am sure they are sold here in Switzerland somewhere.

I have updated Post #3 to list participants in both exchanges: FE and Magnet. So we can keep track of it all at once.

gmark2000 if you want to PM me with your cabin, I will add it to the document I am creating for the exchanges.

gmark, are you one of the very talented DISers who post your designs on the cruise magnets thread?

Thanks Chris. It is so much easier to follow now. Great job! Would you come over and organize my files as easily??? Great Job.

Thank you Chris, this is sooooo much better!

Never heard of a magnet exchange but we are up for anything so count us in!

BTW- can you update my name to Lauren ~sorry

I am so excited for this trip- 7 days of relaxing fun in the sun! Has anyone booked a shore excursion or done any of them before? We have never done any with Disney but I can only assume they are like everything else Disney ~AMAZING~ Normally the kids don't want to get off the ship (except Castaway Cay) but I would love to do atleast one of these- open to suggestions!

I'm not a designer. But every cruise, I've been part of a door magnet exchange.

This is from last March on St. Patrick's Day (unfortunately the pic is blurry).

We have a few excursions booked, but I'm not sure if we'll keep all of them. The excursions are usually fun (the ones we've done anyway), but I don't like the having to get up early and rush out for a shore excursion thing! I want to RELAX on the trip. Nonetheless, once we get going they're great.

Right now we are set to swim with dolphins, go on a dune buggy excursion, and go on a kayak trip...what is everyone else doing?

I have updated your name and added you to the magnet exchange. Sorry for the wrong name.

I have booked the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins-Adult Only Departure in Costa Maya and the Extreme Getaway Package while at Castaway Cay. I imagine I will just do a quick trip off the ship in both Cayman and Cozumel to take a few pics and say I have been there. Other that I want to explore every last corner of the ship.

Oh and I also am booked at Remy on Pirate night. Could be a bit lonely on my own but I promised myself last year when I was on the Dream that I would not miss it this year.

I had to go to the old thread to remember.

Our activities booking was on Christmas Eve, actually after midnight of the 23rd, so it was on my calendar of to-dos during a very busy time.

Anyway, we got our bookings for Palo brunch, Remy and Palo Dinner. We also got bookings for the Mayan ruins in Costa Maya (rated the most jungley, Indiana Jones-like) and the Dolphin swim in Cozumel. Nothing else interesting for Castaway Cay since we did the stingray snorkeling last year.

Because that was a short cruise on the Dream last year, I felt that I didn't have enough time to explore the ship - so much bigger than the Magic/Wonder.

One thing I look forward to is the tastings. Last time, I had Champagne tasting and Margarita tasting on the same day. I think I had 12 drinks before dinner - it wasn't the waves I was feeling!

Here are the excursions we booked.

Grand Cayman - Grand Cayman Island Tour 1:15 PM
Cozumel - Tulum Ruins 8:15 AM
Costa Maya - Chacchoben Mayan Ruins 12:40 PM

Palo Dinner on Thursday April 20 at 6 PM
Couln't get Palo Tea. Brunch was only available on Thursday but I didn't want to do it the same day as dinner. I wasn't interested in Remy.

Please also add me to the magnet exchange - sounds like fun!!!

You are added to the magnet exchange.

It looks like a few of us will be seeing the ruins in Costa Maya.

We would love to do the magnet exchange. This looks like a great idea and super cute for the kids!!!

Here is our activities we were able to book

Grand Caymen - Pirate Boat Adventure
Costa Maya - Dolphin Encounter
Cozumel - Private booking at Mr. Sancho's

Palo - We are at 75 days so only able to snag dinner on April 7th ay 8pm

We couldn't get the couples villa as they were sold out for the whole week already

Funny you mention the tastings......because that was something I was going to bring up.

I have seen on other threads that Tasting Groups are formed especially for the longer cruises where there tend to be a few more. The organizer, which I am willing to be, scours the Navigator as soon as it is available for the next day and leaves messages for the other members of the group pointing them out and inviting them along. Participation is of course voluntary based upon tastes of the individual and what is being offered.

Shall I add this to our Post #3 as well and have people sign up for that too?

This is a bit more complicated, since what is offered on board varies with the sailing/duration/itinerary. As well, one simply lines up at Guest Services on Day One (once you get aboard really) to get tickets for these.

Realistically, we should just discuss what's typically available:
  • Margarita
  • Beer
  • Wine
  • Champagne
  • Martini

Then, just pre-announce our interest/intentions here and simply plan on our own to get tickets and meet at the tastings. (Some tastings have more than one scheduled though.) So in my opinion, we don't need to have a formal sign-up list here. :thumbsup2

Fine with me. Just throwing the idea out there. I have never had a trouble just showing up for a tasting without pre-booking at Guest Services.
