Fantasy Faire Theatre Surprise

It sounds from your other posts that you're having a great trip, hope those winds calmed down and you got to see the fireworks- I know I was disappointed when they were cancelled on one of my trips.

Yes, after two cancellations, I was starting to worry if we'd ever see them. But it's been fun, and we've stopped spending extraordinary amount of time trying to see night shows. It's worked out decently, not perfectly. Can't ask much more from a trip. It's been great.

Do families with only older kids or only adults go to these shows? Our next trip is just DH and I and on a future family trip our youngest will be 12 or 13.

There were people of all ages, my kids were DS 10, DD 10 & DS 13 and me (not saying my age lol) we all enjoyed them very much even my 13 year old boy. It is well worth the time.

How early do you normally have to show up for these shows? Are they normally very crowded??

Depending on the time of year I would say it could be quite busy - we were there in September 11-21st and on some days people would end up standing outside of the actual theatre looking in from the back. Same with everything the further the front in line you are the better the seat. I think some people started lining up about 30 - 45 minutes out. If you time it so that you are wanting a little rest you can sit and eat one of the fantastic pastries nearby we have been talking about on this post ;)

Was this due to the Santa Ana Winds too? haha just joking couldn't resist after the fireworks posts. It also got cancelled a few times we tried to see it in September due to the extreme heat at that time. It was determined it would be too hot in the theatre for both the cast members and the public once the theatre lighting was turned on combined with the general heat of the day. We managed to see Tangled on our second last day:goodvibes On one day they cancelled the show but the whole cast did a meet and greet with the people who were there ... it was great especially for my kids as when it was their turn Rapunzel and Flynn talked to them so much and turned it into a little skit where Rapunzel stole the tiara from Flynn's satchel and they were looking for it. I have photo's of Flynn down on one knee going through my DD10's little shoulder bag :rotfl2: Priceless pixiedust:

We just had the best luck here, after the B&B show we struck up a conversation with a CM (not from the show itself) and it ended up with a special little Cinderalla's slipper, Pirate's eye patch and fast pass tickets for Space Mountain, Big Thunder Rail Road and an escort past the line onto Peter Pan's Flight pixiedust: for us all, so totally unexpected and very much appreciated.

Needless to say this place has very special memories for us of our trip. This is a hidden gem and not to be missed.

If you enjoy the shows at the Fantasy Faire Theater odds are you will enjoy the show "Mickey and the Magical Map".
