Which would you do, deck 6 for $130 less than deck 8? Both cabins mid ship and both the exact same configuration.

What are the pros and cons to deck 6 or 8?
Thanks

Deck 8
To me deck 6 is usually above the kids club so I like to avoid if. Possible.
Also on that ship deck 11 is pool deck and I feel like I could take stairs from 8 to 11 but not from 6 to 11 so I like having the added flexibility of that option

I prefer to save money. But not if the cabin is over the Buena Vista theater (late night movies) or the kids’ clubs.

It's the acessible rooms, so only cabins below or above both decks 6 and 8, no theatre or kids clubs i dont think.

My husband would have to use the lifts most of the time anyway, as he can't walk very easily (often using his stick or mobility scooter).

We did deck 8 last time on the dream, but were just thinking if saving the money would be better, if there wasn't any major reasons not to go for deck 6.

With more info my advice to you would change to just go with deck 6 since it’s an accessible room that you need so my advice about stairs and club noise I think is moot!

Deck 8 definitely. Some people don’t mind it, but I think the lifeboats are a major obstruction to the view of the verandah on deck 6 midship of the dream and fantasy. We had it once and never again.

I think you are confusing deck 5 with deck 6. The lifeboats are only in the way if you look straight down.

Nope, we were on deck 6–and they were clearly visible because they extend out from the lower edge the balcony so you see them in your lower half of the balcony view.

That's what I meant, you have to be looking down from the railing. If your sitting and enjoying the sea they are not visible. Guess I should have been more specific. We are always on 6 and have never considered them as obtrusive, but then we are sitting with a beverage.

My husband and I are pretty tall so we still see it while sitting—it extends out and blocks the lower half of the view. We also like to stand at the rail to feel the sea breeze. My take is if you have to be angled in a certain way to avoid seeing an obstruction, it’s an obstruction.

How bad is the movie theater noise (day and night). We have a cabin booked that appears to be just over the corner of the theater (6550).

Thank you for all your help.
We decided to change to the deck 6 cabin as we felt the only difference that would effect us was the lifeboats being below our balcony view. I appreciate the pictures of it.
We ultimately decided that the saving of $130 was worth it. We can use that money towards the photo package, or towards excursions.
Plus hoping being lower will help slightly with nausea (although I think that's just hopeful thinking 😁 ).
No matter which deck we are on, I'm sure we will have a fab time. 😊
