I did. We got them in at 4:45pm. We'll probably be arriving just as you're leaving. Thanks.

Hi Everyone,

My hubby and I are cruising with you all on this wonderful holiday trip. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise, 1st on Fantasy. So looking forward to sailing date for sure.

Our daughter, her boyfriend, their 3 boys are also traveling with us and boyfiend's grown daughter are also going on this adventure. It's gonna be a great cruise for sure.

I'm heading up the FE gift exchange so if you want to be a part of it, then you can private message me and I'll give you the information you will need. However, some of that information be found here on either pg 8 or 9. You can't miss the very long thread. lol

Looking forward to chatting with you all, too.

We will also be sailing on Dec. 6th on Fantasy. We have a bit of a group going with a couple of our friends and their families as well. You won't be sailing alone!

Would any one be interested in joining in on an Ornament Exchange? Here are the details?

DISNEY ORNAMENT EXCHANGE!! All those interested in exchanging an ornament, please let me know.

Here are the guidelines for the exchange. (These can be altered. I did find these guidelines from another cruise doing the exchange so let me know your thoughts!!!)

1 Ornaments should not exceed $5-$7. There are many wonderful ornaments out there for that price.

2. Please use a small gift bag to wrap.

3. For the exchange, each ornament will be given a number.

4. Each participant will be drawing a number from a hat (bowl or something that holds numbers). Corresponding number goes with ornament gift bag number...

5. There will be one ornament per person who wants to participate. If you and/or anyone else in your cabin wants to join in, they can. One ornament per person, though.

6. This is NOT a white elephant or rob your neighbor game so there will be NO stealing of the ornament you get. Only exception to rule is if you draw the number of the ornament you brought.

7. You can trade with someone after the party if you like and mutually agreed upon.

8. Party should last no more than an hour, depending on how many participants are involved.

HOME STATE Gift EXCHANGE (Rob Your Neighbor game)
Guidelines for this exchange are as follows:
1. Bring a gift that somehow represents your city or state for exchange. This could as simple as a thimble, spoon , or mug to as extravagant as a towel, food, alcohol, figurine. You can be also creative also. Homemade Tshirt, ball caps, etc. The list is endless to your imagination. Remember that we are on a cruise ship and some things might not be transferrable to an airplane or through security.

2. Please keep the cost down to something under $10-$15 maximum.

3. One gift per person.

4. As many people who are in your cabin that wants to be a part of this exchange can participate that are 10 years old or older. All children are welcome to the event, however. This is a Disney ship, after all. Lol (exceptions can be made on the age limit—the child must understand the gift they choose CAN be taken from them. Parents, you can make the determination of your child’s personality and how well they will do with this game) Can you tell I don’t want to put a limit on who can play this game. Besides I love children, too.

5. Everyone will draw a number. WE start with the lowest number first.

6. This IS a Rob Your Neighbor activity, which means your gift could be taken from someone who has a number higher than you.

7. The first participant chooses a gift, opens it and shows everyone. The next participant can either (1) take the gift from the first person or (2) choose another gift from the table.

8. If option 1 is taken, the person who lost the gift will go to the table and choose a gift from the table. Play will then go to number 3.

9. If Option 2 is taken, play will then go to number 3.

10. Gifts can only stolen a maximum of three (3) times in the whole game. The person who opens a gift CAN steal it back, but it has to be stolen away from them at least once.

11. Play continues in the same manner until the last gift has been drawn.

12. After game is over, you can trade with someone who is mutually agreeable.

13. This game is a fun way for EVERYONE in your cabin to play.

14. If interested, let me know in the comments below and we’ll get an excel sheet opened on this as well.

Now to find a nice ornament ...

It's been so long since I posted here that I forget how and where to post lol. Okay I got it now!

Hey everyone! We are brand new to this forum, but are trying to learn how to cruise like veterans so we're ready for Dec. 6th. :santa: My hubby decided today that we should try the Fish Extender exchange, so I'm hoping to get our cabin on the list (while I figure out how to sew a personalized fish extender in the next 50 days!).

My DISboard name is WishingUponAStar2009 and my FB name is Melissa Pressler Gartner. We are in cabin #8018...my hubby, our 5-year-old son, and me. :hyper: This is our second Disney cruise, but the first one went so fast that we felt like we missed a lot even though (I thought) we did the research beforehand. We'd love to be included in one of the Fish Extender exchanges, so our kiddo has fun giving to others instead of having a 'gimme gimme' fit that all of those onboard toys can bring on!

Fingers crossed that I've figured out how to post. After that, packing should be a breeze!

P.S. WE ARE...PENN STATE! Any other alumni on board yet?

Class of 2005! Not so thrilled with this football season, but glad to know the sanctions are over!!! How about you?

Class of 1991/1993, Class of 1991/1999/2004, and hopefully Class of 2032!! Don't get us started on the NCAA. ;) It's fun to watch Hackenberg mature into an incredible qb, and Ficken will always be a favorite at our house. Glad these guys will now get the chance to experience some Bowl excitement! :cheer2: Now that we know there will be at least one more Lion cabin, we might just pack our PSU shirts. :) ROAR!

Cost will be $15 per person.
25 people minimum / 30 maximum per class
A "wait list" for a second class will be opened if we meet our max numbers.
Class usually held on a Sea Day at around 2pm or 4pm.
DCL Confirmation of final details will not be available until about 2 weeks prior to sail date.

CURRENTLY: 24 people have spots reserved.

Our ds Levi asked for a trip on the Fantasy to celebrate his 12th birthday. (We have a tradition that we take each child on the special trip of his or her choice when they turn 12.) So...here we are, just DH, DS, and me, all booked and ready to go! Wooohooo!

Welcome to our cruise. You're gonna have so much fun. Disney does it wonderfully. You'll feel very special for sure.

Not to take anything away from this site, and to let you know we also have a place on FB that some of us frequent quite often, especially lately.

We've had about 10 people join our group over there this past weekend alone. Come join us if you'd like.

On Facebook, look under Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean Dec. 6, 2014 to find us. https://www.facebook.com/groups/324159984379743/

I truly LOVE the Disboards because they have so many great threads and I'm on here two-four times a day (reading during my breaks....lol)

Just so you know, we have lots going on. We have an Fish Extender (FE) gift exchange, an Ornament Exchange, a meet/greet planned for the 1st day at Sea, which also coincides with a City/State/Country gift exchange (Rob your Neighbor game), plus a Mixology class(es) group sign-up going on since this weekend. We are almost to 50 at last count for this class alone.

We have a great group of people--a good variety and mix of individuals ....old, young, lots of children (woohoo!!). Talk to you real soon.

Want to join the fun? We are going to have 1 … maybe 2 private Mixology classes aboard the Fantasy for our group. It's not to late to sign up. Just Private Message me on DISboards or on Facebook comment in the thread on the post about this topic (if you have not already signed up) with you cabin # (or Reservation # if still GTY) and the first/last name of each person you are signing up. These are required to hold your spot as this is how you will be charged for the class. $15 per person. Class will be held at either at 2pm or 4pm on a day at sea (DCL places us, we do not get to pick). Minimum 25 people per class / Maximum 30. We already have 1 FULL…YIPPPEE, class and our 2nd class is filling up quickly. If we go over our max I will start a "wait list". I will get final confirmation from DCL about 2 weeks prior to sail date (I hope no later) and will post all details. This is going to be a fun event!
