**Fantasy Becomes Reality** Group--5/19/2012 (INDEX/ROLE CALL, PAGE 1--ENTRY 1)

5Dreamers, Elaine Dragonlady, carouselkr, JohnPA - thx a mint for your kind welcome. I knew this was a fun group! :grouphug:

Elaine, I did see that SWw/end was the return of our cruise - you pointing it out again has me itching to change my plans. Initially we were going to drive to Epcot right from the port, and the next day an early morning start for the Exotic Car Driving Experience (an early b'day gift for DH) and then spend the rest of the day at MK (which as Evening MH to 1am). Last day was DTD, with ME pick up at resort at 5:40pm...so I could switch things up a bit :rolleyes1

gailg3horses - thx for sharing that letter on BBB & PL. I didn't receive it and have no interest in booking it but it was fun too see anyway.

carouselkr - appreciate you sharing the All Ears activities. I looked at joining that group too but decided against it as DH lacks the Disney gene, and while I use All Ears' website in my trip planning, I am unfamiliar with AE's people/'personalities'

Looking fwd to the return of the 1st Eastern sailing and hopefully the Navigators and a TR or two! ;)

cheers,
:)

Looking forward to the Eastern sailing reports, too. Hopefully we won't have to wait long!!!!!:yay::yay::yay:
This will be our first time in Palo and I was wandering about tipping. When did you guys tip or is tipping included in $20?

Happy Packing Everyone!!!:cheer2:

Hi all, I don't know if Lara saw my post but I can not get the brackets ordered in time. NOT....... I am so sorry! :headache: I called the guy on the phone. It's 7 days to get it set up and five for delivery. But he said he couldn't be sure that they would be sent on time. I just don't want 300 plus bands showing up at my house after we leave. I'm so sorry to disappoint! That being said, tony and I are up for the dis meet as long as we are on the ship!:woohoo:So much to do and so little time? I don't know how the last two years blew by! Lol

Thanks for posting! I sat here in advisory and watched the whole thing. May 19th can't come soon enough!!

Megan/mstinston:

Howdy neighbor!! I see you are also from Missouri. We are in the St. Charles area; where are you?

On our last Disney cruise, we met a couple that lived about 1.5 miles away. In further discussion we found that the wife worked at the same hospital as me.

Sing with me now.....it's a small, small world!!!

Susan

I found a place online, not the cheapest, but if we opt for screen printing, we can have about 100 wristbands in lime green for a modest amount of money. If we go American-made, 24-hour turnaround with 2-day shipping, it's $1.37 per wristband. I don't think we need it quite that fast. Realistically, if I were to handle the shipping, I'd need everything to arrive within 2 weeks, and this company can (theoretically) deliver by Monday.

If we want to emboss or use eco-friendly recycled silicone, production time goes up to 1 week, but if we act soon, that's still within the acceptable time frame.

Looking at other places online, realistically, I think we can do this. With a firm bracelet count and a firm color decision, plus a decision on whether to go cheap or eco-friendly, we can make it work.
What are people willing to pay per wristband?

I'd like it to be green and silicone so it's waterproof, leaning toward eco-friendly. I'd be willing to pay the $1.37 per wristband (x5= $6.85).
My kids like to wear silicone type wristbands and I think it would be a great keepsake.

Sorry for "abandoning ship" in the middle of a discussion, I had to give a speech to 100 women yesterday and it took all my brain power for a couple of days lol!

Dh and I were considering doing the bracelets for part of our FE and then those not on our list but still wanted them we would also order for. However, I am not emotionally tied to ordering them so if reimero wants to do it, that's fine as well. My thoughts are:
Silicone
Lime (dcl) green
"fantasy becomes reality" and dates if they will also fit

Other than that at under $2 a piece I'm on board!
:thumbsup2

Just let me know, I can put together a spreadsheet of those who've said they are interested (recently) I don't plan on going back for all the months this board has been around, lol!

I'm completely on board if you want to do this, I just don't want to see it fall short! I'm not emotionally tied to it either. So, by all means, please do :thumbsup2

I'm fine with this also! Whatever works best for everyone. I will need 4. Thanks!!!!:cool1:

Does anybody on here have kids who play Draw Something? My 9 year old boy & (soon to be) 11 year old girl just started playing. If somebody close to their age has an account and plays, PM me their id & I will have my kids set up a game with them. My kids would get a kick out of playing with somebody they might get to meet on the cruise.

My 8 yr old son Matthew likes to play it with me, but I have to say, that kid cannot draw. Most times I have to finally ask him what it is. Let me talk to him this evening and see if he wants to play.

Sounds good. Andrew would get a kick out of playing with him, even if neither of them are very good.

We would love wristbands. We need 4. We are not participating in the FE. Lara, if you order for your FE gifts please include us and we can figure out the money for them! Thanks.

I'm up for two - whatever type and price you get. Thanks for taking this on so late.

OK, so even though we have our countdown chain and I know exactly how many days until we leave and I spend almost every waking moment thinking about our cruise.......I just looked at the ticker in my signature for the first time in awhile....... LOOK AT IT!! 3 weeks and 2 days!!! :scared1:

WAIT?! WHAT!!!! WHEN did that happen??? It's happened, it was going to happen, but it has just happened...PANIC! So much to do, so under prepared!! WOW! I need to do something, but I am just sitting here shocked! 22 days sounds further away than 3 weeks and 2 days!

Where do I even begin now.....besides rocking in a corner and going to group therapy (DISboards)!!:lmao:

We have so much going on in the next (((gulp))) 3 weeks between PTO changover activities - I'm doing another round of VP then Pres again...yeah big sucker here!! SOOOOOO much baseball, MCT2 school tests, end of school activities, visions of leaving a spotless house to come home to....:rotfl2: and a visit from a good friend next weekend....wow.....It's going way to fast now....

It's also really sad that it's almost here and all the excitement and planning will soon be over and BAM! we are on the cruise...and then before we all now it they will be calling security to kick us all off...then it's .........OVER!

Ok.....breath.....:lmao: I'm fine...really :rolleyes1

is it just me??????

No it's not just you. We have our chain countdown and I know it's only a matter of days but we also have baseball every night+ weekend, registering for kindergarten, spaying our new dog and we just bought a new car. That took up most of our weekends. It still seems like months away to me. Last year our first cruise seemed like an eternity to get here and now this one is coming too fast. I still need to shop for shoes and throw a camping trip in there somewhere. But the one good thing about the cruise being over is if you booked another cruise onboard, you get to start everything all over again!

is it just me??????

No, it's not just you. Right now, I think our state can best be described as:

:woohoo::scared::yay::headache::scared1::cool1:
:confused::scared::jumping3::crazy::eek:
runaway.gif

We still have a megabajillion things to do!!! :scared1:

Oh, Jaimie, it's definitely not just you. I've recently retired, :thumbsup2 but it just seems to be more panic time on my hands, :scared1: rather than being more organised than before.

I'm also still interested in three bands if we go ahead. If it proves impossible, could we get something to stick on the plastic pockets on our lanyards to identify each other, it could even be something as simple as a sticky paper dot in a certain colour.

Well, I suppose we need to decide if we should go and book a taxi or park at the airport, and organise car hire for the first part of our holiday.

Take care, see you all soon,

Elaine :flower3:
