We have come up with a system for both boys for good behavior for the next few months....they get Disney Happiness Points.................Great talking with you again Mati...maybe we should have the boys start writing each other.......???

GREAT idea! We just implemented allowance and chores (yes, yes, I know, it took us awhile to get it together) and are using an iPad app that helps - I know there is a reward system there, could use that! Thanks for the idea!

Yes, we should get boys at least talking. Not sure if Kai is ready to email though. Let me talk to him - his reading is good but his writing, well, let me just say that we have to really work hard with him on his spelling . Really good evidence that each kid is different - Sabrina was worlds ahead of him with spelling at this age. He will be excited to know someone ahead of time! Maybe more incentive for him to behave?

Bought the stuff to make some of our FE gifts... So excited! Feels a little closer now I keep counting the months on my fingers like a little kid and it's so nice to be less than a hand, haha

*Finally* got the call from the surgeon and surgery is scheduled for next Thursday. VERY glad because I was afraid he was just going to tell me to watch what I eat ...... So the surgery is good news

Jealous - still not sure what I am doing for FE. It freaks me out a bit still.

As for gallbladder - can understand your pain. I agree, the surgery sounds likes a good plan and glad it is getting done now with plenty of time to recover before the cruise! I suffer from that pain and do well most of the time but do know, at some point it will have to come out. I am just hopeful it doesn't rear its ugly head during the cruise.... Good luck next week and please do keep us posted.

So body blast this morning --> trying to lose the weight I gained while stressing out over Sabrina's surgery last year. Sabrina - still no answers but am really coming to terms that she will go back in for more surgery. I am just praying now it will be sooner rather than later so she will be all healed up by May. We shall see.

I hope you guys have a fabulous weekend! I will spend my free time reading TRs (will check out the one on CruiseCritic) and will also work on figuring out excursions! Only a few weeks until we can book!

Thanks This seems relatively minor after 2 other surgeries in the past year and a half, so I'm not too hyped up about it. It seems silly that I was just worried about it interfering with my eating, lol I figured they'd say "let's wait it out" and then decide to do it right before we left or wait til after. My HIDA scan was pretty bad though, so that must have been one way ticket outta there for the GB. Can't say I'm sad to see him go either!

Hope Sabrina is feeling well for the cruise. I can sympathize with feeling like surgeries are just one after another, so please know that I send my thoughts and prayers for not only recovery and well being, but answers as well.

Ok-- I am one of those people who obsess over menus before a Disney trip... Well, any trip for that matter!!! I really try to watch what I eat otherwise, so trips are a treat and I LOVE to eat, haha Anyway, just in case there are any other foodies out there, I thought I'd put this up. JohnPA; please remove Amber/Dave Holt in 8083 from the FE list. Our daughter Amber is pregnant with our first grandchild and will be too far along to take the cruise. Also, cancel our son, Mikey, from room 8090 - he decided to wait until the baby is born and we can all cruise together on Disney. So, just hubby (Tom) and I (Sue) will be left in #8090 and we will still do the FE. Thanks!

Me too! Paid in full yesterday! I was going to wait until 105 days, to make online reservations, but I got too excited so decided to put the balance due on my 2nd disney visa so that I can pay it off in 4 monthly installments.

We are paid in full Now we are buying Disney gift cards for tips, excursions, etc. That's the scary part. We went through the excursions last night and going through Disney the two excursions we want are going to cost ~$900 for our family

We are looking at the French Riviera Beach excursion for St. Maarten and the Turtle Cove & Honeymoon Beach excursion for St. Thomas. I'm off on my total cost it's less than $900. I think I included our tips for the cruise in with that total.

I would love to go on our own to Maho Beach in St. Maarten but we are too chicken to try it.

Who is it on the boards that used to live in St. Maarten or St. Thomas? Perhaps if there was something that a lot of people wanted to do, and they have a connection or two, we could book a group thing at a much lesser cost, and maybe cover the cost for the person helping us out. Just a thought....


Susan and I aren't planning on many excursions. We've done this itinerary before (and won't be doing it again after this cruise). We want something new!

We did a cruise on Norwegian Epic in Sept of 2010 to Cozumel, Costa Maya and Roatan, Honduras. I liked new lands, new cultures, new experiences, and touring the Mayan ruins with my dad was a highlight.

We are planning to do a tour on our own with Bernard's Tours in St Maarten. We want to be sure that the beach on the tour is the most clothed one and if we see some not following the rules, to have our driver move along to next stop. Needless to say we are modest.

So if you are wanting to join us, you can PM me. We are family of 5. I'm not sure yet at what size group the price goes down much...

Don't know how many of you subscribe to the Disney Insider e-mails, but I was pleasantly surprised and excited when I got today's. The title I saw in my list of e-mails was "The Disney Fantasy Becomes a Reality". Sound familiar!?!

Just thought I'd share.

We are not paid in full yet. But I did book our flights the other day, that was almost as much as we owe on the cruise.

Just thought I'd share.
